Past Life
- Hiro was born and raised in an isolated rural town.
- He grew up bright and hard-working as his community around him had taught him to be, and he enjoyed the simple lifestyle he lived.
- Yet, Hiro was completely fascinated with everything about the ocean—and the king of the ocean, sharks, were no exception. It might've been because he loved the way water sparkled and flowed, or the power sharks commanded, or perhaps he just got dropped on the head a few too many times growing up. (Probably the last one.)
Death
- When he turned 20, Hiro planned a trip to visit the nearest coast and finally experience the ocean.
- However, right before the set date, he was found unconscious and rushed to the hospital, where doctors found he had a cancerous brain tumor.
- For the remaining three years of his life, Hiro spent his time dreaming of the ocean's sharks and receiving treatment.
- Unfortunately, Hiro eventually succumbed to his illness without ever visiting the beach.
Current Life
- Becoming a cheruby was like a second chance at life for Hiro, without the obstacles that stood in his way last time.
- Hiro's life is currently consumed by sharks: collecting shark merchandise, decorating his house with sharks, watching sharks, visiting the beach longingly.
- It's (a little bit embarrassingly), his main drive for working hard. Maybe he should find another hobby.
- His current primary goal/concern is to pet a shark. He's already started saving up his vacation days for a trip to do so.
