The Golden Shard

The Golden Shard was a well known Color Fixer who had went missing and presumably died during The Pianist's performance. He is currently leading his own "office" meanwhile searching for the person that mattered most to him.

What a creep.

Reverie is rather a mysterious character. Although he was and still is known to be many things prior to his "Death", people often get his character confused. No one knows what was the real him, so there are many stories and theories circulating around the city about what ACTUALLY the Golden Shard was like. Though in reality, Reverie was simply adapting to a different persona each time. Not even his other colored collegues knew him well enough to tell much about his personality other how determined he is.

Though he always carried this, unpredictable aura around him. Making one always cautious around him. That bright wide smile he always wore, the more you'd stare at it, the more unsettling it gets. He was always seen ontop of high city buildings. Looking down upon the city in all its glory.

Before his brother left him, he was a kind and gentle guy. Always a hard working and worrying about his brothers especially. Not much is left of his old self anymore anyway.

Oldest out of three siblings. The other two being Jovial, and the youngest being Chlorine. He took care of them when their parents refused to do so. Making him grow up faster, but he's too worried for his siblings to care about that. He finds joy in making them smile even though their family situation is not great. He actively tried to steer his parents away from his siblings whenever he can sense a slight form of mistreatment coming from them.

Reverie worked as a fixer to get by and support his siblings. Making him even more busy. But he apprieciates that Jovial tries to help the best he can. Reverie felt guilty because he didn't want Jovial to worry about this kind of stuff. He didn't want to take away anymore of what's left of Jovial's childhood. He and Jovial do try and keep Chlorine happy most of the time as a main priority.

Reverie is rather protective of his siblings and would often fight with their parents about their neglect over him and his siblings as well as when they actually do notice them, they always take out their anger on them.Whenever he leaves their residence for his fixer job, he can't help but get extremely worried for them. They're his whole world, and he honestly didn't know what to do without them.

Unfortunately he was too late one day. Rushing home a few minutes after curfew until he stopped on his way home. He sees his youngest sibling, Chlorine, lying there on the ground. The usual hyperactive child lying cold and still on the floor, surround by a pool of his own blood. Reverie mourned for the loss of his little sibling. Feeling more guilty as he couldn't protect them. Coming home only to breakdown immediatley. Jovial tried his best to comofort Reverie but ended up breaking down as well. It broke his heart to see Jovial like this.

Something snapped within him that day and pushed him over the edge.The incident further brought him to hate their parents as well. When he did confront them about Chlorine's death,they pushed it aside and even acted as if it were a good thing. The next thing he knew, he was already beating them until they were unrecognizable. He drowned out everything that was around him. His main focus was to take revenge on them for what they had done to his sibling. He felt joy knowing that they got what they deserved. Him looming over their bodies, seeing the work he had done. Smiling that they will not hurt him or his brother Jovial next.

Though he ended up scaring Jovial with this new behaviour of his. Reverie didn't care though. All he wants is to protect and the best for Jovial. He couldn't save/protect Chlorine, but he was sure that he could protect Jovial. Even if it costed Jovial's freedom.

He restricted the things Jovial could do by alot. What he eats, where he goes, What he does, etc. Coddling and Doting on his now only brother. He fell into a greater depression when Jovial had gone missing so suddenly. He tried to desperately search around for his brother, but to no avail, he couldn't find him. So he threw himself into more work, eventually working his way to color status.

When he gained color status, he reinvented himself into this, charismatic and mysterious guy. His weapon is this giant pair of scissors which can detach themselves as two seperate blades. He doesn't really associate himself with the other colors, often distancing himself from them, as seeing them as a "waste of time" talking to.

When the pianist incident had came, He had vanished off the face of the city. presumably became one of the fallen victims to the pianist's song. But instead, he actually distorted and created the Mirror Office. Recruiting 3 other distortions as his "Fixers". Sending them out as his eyes and ears for the city. Keeping all tabs on the city and it's citizens. Especially if his brother were among the crowd.

During the course of his findings, he noticed how many of the city's folk were "broken". Lying to themselves and suffering in their own misery. He took it upon himself to show them their truths in his mirror and make them "better". Once they are shown that they are worthy of going behind his curtain, he'll eventually make them a new member of their office.

Trivia

• His office is the only part of the mirror office that emits light.
• Rarely/almost never reveals himself to those behind the office. The only ones were allowed back there are Tarot, Mel, and Sevyn. Though those who passed through 3 of them and Reverie requests it, they can go behind his curtain. Though they won't come out the same.
• Probably would be bffs with Argalia lol
