Amidst the pressure of attending RSA, she conformed to committing herself to her education and would often push herself beyond her limits.

She never quite fit in at the school, however, as a good portion of her dormmates also hail from the same land as her family and were all-too-aware of the washed up Bruintz name. The one-sided clash between her and her classmates esclates until one day where they pin a horrible prank onto her which would snowball and lead her to be expelled from the academy.

Not quite willing to quit and let her fate end there, She finds a way to meet with the headmage of Night Raven College. Even with explaining her situation, it was made clear that even a squeaky clean track record wouldn't suffice for her to enroll in NRC. The incident at RSA and her current deficient abilities would bar her from attending the school. Although, during their conversation Crowley let slip some exaggerated claim that would make enrollement possible- though said purely as a joke. Grizel would take that single joke to heart and would spend almost a year attempting to complete that very thing. Much to the headmage's surprise, she was successful and had shown her determination to attend. In the end, he allows her to enroll in the school due to being the most charitable person alive, no doubt.

Grizel's biggest embarrassment, being the incident at RSA, haunts her. The incident circled around Magicam, being as viral as it could be there. In part, this was why she took time off from school and transfered to NRC. There were a handful of students at RSA who were from the same area as Grizel and were all too familiar with the shameful family name she carried. Now, they had been given more fuel to the fire with the incident being in the mouths of every RSA studen possible.

So, when the time came that she was officially a NRC student- someone given a fresh start and the hopes of being in an environment free of backlash- she was very shocked to find that she was assigned Pomefiore as her dorm. From what she knew of Vil, she had in mind of his vanity and image when it came to his online popularity. She figured that no doubt that someone like him wouldn't be out of the loop about what bagged she'd bring with her to his dorm. That, and she was hardly someone who gave much thought to appearances.

He immediately took her in and schooled her heavily on all things with appearance. To her luck, she'd impress him at least with her persistence in physical prowess. Still, not once had he bothered to mention anything about her past grievance nor did he seem to show her any less favor than other members in the dorm. She still recieved the same tough love as other Pomefiore students.

Once, concerned that for the betterment of Vil's image, she mentioned that he should be weary of the negative effect that her past could bring- given that she knew his main competition was with a student from RSA. To which he'd say with a tough-love smack, that he helped her of his own accord- knowing about her position. He'd say that he continuously helped her because he wanted to give her the tools she needed to be proud of herself enough to build the image she wanted and that her worrying was putting his efforts to waste.

She'd still be the least adept when it came to her appearance, butting heads with her seniors about the holes in her pants and scruffy hair, but she'd take his words to heart to find her drive to be someone she was proud of.
