Overall Appearance: The most striking feature is his dark ash horns. His wings were mutilated as punishment for what he did to Aurora. He has large scars on his back from where his wings used to be. He is half human, and thus only (supposedly?) a half-brother to Aurora. He was born with dark fae blood in his veins, which causes his affinity for magic and his appearance. Body type: He is lanky and extremely thin. He stays cooped up in his room/study most of the time, so he is really quite wimpy.
Hair: He has sleek black hair that goes down a little past his chin. He sometimes has it slicked back.
Eyes: He has glowing green apple colored eyes that have a squinted and vacant appearance.

Family:
His father, the king: Despises him. The king was the one who isolated him, and cut off his wings.
His birth mother, maleficent: Hates her. He blames her for everything bad in his life. He hates that she was able to manipulate him and that she used him for her own revenge.
The Queen: Was really the only family member who grew to sort of care for him
Aurora: He was always jealous of her, which is what his mother used to manipulate him. His guilt over the incident has caused him to avoid his sister as much as he can. However, he secretly watches over her, as he promised himself to never let any more harm come to her.
History: While engaged to the present queen, the king was seduced by a dark fairy. 9 months later, after the king had gotten married, the dark fairy returned with a baby, threatening to tell the whole kingdom of his adultery if he did not take him under his care. Trying to avoid as much scandal as possible, he grudgingly agreed. Only him, the queen, and a handful of servants knew of the child.
Maulef was raised in secrecy, confined to a closed off area of the castle. As he got older, his horns started to grow in and tiny wings appeared on his back. He began to show signs of magical potency as well. He was but three years old when his half-sister was born. He was not allowed to come to the christening, for fear he would be seen. At the ceremony, the dark fairy that had once seduced the king returned, having heard the queen was with child. The fairy, named Maleficent, demanded her child be returned to her, as they now had their own child to take care of. The king denied her claims and cast her out. Before she left, she put a deadly curse on the baby. A fairy used her magic to change the curse to have her fall into a deep sleep instead.
His sister was taken to a secure place far away, and he was further isolated. The servants that took care of him were reduced, and he was put under 24 hour watch. As he grew older, he poured himself into his studies. When he was 19, he had almost full control of his magic. On his sisters sixteenth birthday, she returned home. Maleficent returned at the first hearing of this, but she instead went to her son for help. She manipulated him into helping her. He was given a spinning wheel, and was told to bring the princess to his tower, and have her touch the spindle. She made him believe that if his sister was out of the way, he would gain the love and attention from his parents and his kingdom alike. Thus she was found in his room having fallen into a deep slumber. In a terrifying rage, the king cut off the boy’s wings as punishment.
A few weeks later, she awoke under mysterious circumstances. No one knew what had happened, and both Maulef and his sister said nothing about it. Maulef felt terrible for what his mother made him do, and has since despised his birth mother and father.
Future Goals: Wishes he could get his wings back, and thus studies feverishly to find a way to. He secretly wishes for someone to share his magic and dreams with. Maybe get another cat?
