Summary

A recently widowed father of three, Cypressleap is still, surprisingly, his usual cheerful self. Though clanmates suspect it is just a front to not show his kits how really sad he is about the death of his mate, Peaflower. One of the oldest warriors in the clan, Cypressleap is often looked to for advice- especailly when it comes to training apprentices. Breezestar admits he would have given Cypressleap one of the new apprentices to him to train, if they hadn't been his own kits. The young leader was quite aware that in light of the recent tragedy, Cypressleap would be especially soft on his kits if he were in charge in training them.

His mentor was Bluefrost, one of the current TideClan elders. He recieved his suffix, -leap, in honor of his unique skill in hunting seagull- a prey that is often considered one of the more difficult for the seafood-eating clan to catch.

APPEARANCE

Cypressleap is a mostly off-white tom with two main brown-grey tabby patches- one on his face that acts as a mask, and the other on his rump and tail. He has no notable scars, and his fur is extremely well kept.

His eyes are warm amber.

DESIGN NOTES

  • The grey in his fur has grown as he ages, and was almost non-existent when he was a kit.
TRIVIA

  • NOMENCULTURE
  • Prefix after the white cypress pine tree of which grows plentiful in TideClan territory
  • Suffix in honor of his incredible gull-hunting techniques
  • Despite Littlepaw not being his biological daughter, he has never thought of her as anything else but family. In fact, he often remarks about how similar she looks to him, and that maybe in some other life they were biologically related.
  • He specifically requests the leader to give his children floral-related suffixes to commemorate their lost mother, Peaflower.
