Adonis ever since he joined the pride and abandoned the rogue life has dabbled in a little bit of everything even if he felt it wasn’t the best place for him. Despite the fact he often excelled in certain situations whether it was offered or not. He simply felt it wasn’t him or someway shape or form he was trying to remain with a humble image around the pride. So Adonis never really ranked up from the role as Hoplite, the lowest rank in the pride’s military yet one of the most important of them all. It wasn’t till the pride meeting under the first winters sun that they all elected members to the Gerousia council. Adonis had always wondered about campaigning but decidedly went against it.  Yet somehow the lion had won himself a spot in the council as the member for the Hoplites and with that he was ever grateful to Nefertiti for heading a secret campaign for him while she was at sea.

Adonis had never met the lioness nor heard of the place that had campaigned so dearly for him to take a member of the council. But Nefertiti had heard of him and his wonderful poems. It wasn’t till one really close port call and multiple letters addressed to one another that the pair finally decided that they should meet in plain sight. It was awkward at first more for poor Adonis because he was more of the straight forward from the start personality type while being grumpy and Nefertiti was one of the kindest souls especially for a pirate he had just met. But from that moment on the two felt it was destiny to be together forever. And when battle made way for either Adonis or sometimes Nef they always confessed their undying love for each other but somehow never figured out how to make ends meet to spend enough time with each other. It seems no matter how much they tried to be together they were always dragged back apart. He loves his little poet to pieces.
