The wise and always so spiritualized Messias was born in a humble family of umbanda praticants. He never takes his guide necklaces away and was taught the ideals of equality, diversity and love of his religion from the early years of his life.

Growing up with Maurício and so many other kids in their poor and often dilapidated neighborhood, served to soil the concept of architecture being both a social divider and elevator to Messias, and so he listened to this calling and pursued a career as such. Even with the unexpected arrival of his son Osíris so early in his youth, Messias' faith and dedication to studies sustained him and his wife Iara to move on and raise their first born child, to only then plan their second son Sandro when their financial situation stabilized.

Even to this day, the renowned and selfless architect landscaper Messias Cardoso always has an open slot on his schedule for his family and friends, doing charity and giving back to the community what they offered to him when he was younger: dignity, solidarity, and a chance to grow.
