silas has a rather.. interesting life. he is the result of an affair between the mailpony and emperor shining armour - nobody ever found out about that, though. shining armour paid the stallion's father more than enough hush money to keep them comfortable and living in the lap of luxury. silas grew up around thousands of posh ponies and is very well versed in the ways of royals.

it's not surprising at all that he used his charm and looks to climb the ranks. soon, he was the then-queen's main lover. hoping to keep him for eternity, she granted him immortality and a set of glorious alicorn wings - as well as all of the titles he wanted. when she died an imminent war, he feigned grief and returned to his ways. he now jumps from royal room to royal room.
