Baby Pink was created by Teal Diamond as a prototype to test the snake traits she intended to give to Medusa. She was initially stable, but increasingly demanding tests resulted in her getting herself statued & cracked, so Teal decided to keep her bubbled for safety.

. Baby Pink seemed to be forgotten after the creation of Medusa, until White Snake Pearl found her. With her powers significantly dulled by the crack, Teal decided it would be safe to keep her with the rest of the court. Baby Pink is officially considered one of Medusa's Pearls, but Medusa mostly leaves her alone to play with White Snake or Wine Red's Pearls.
