Living with his single mother, he never remembered his father. For his father passed away when he was younger. Despite all of that, his mother tries to make ends meet with the makeup industry, providing for both of them. This is what sparked his interest in camera work.

His younger years in school were the worse for him. From moving around alot, he never made stable friends. Plus, he was really sensitive and used to be picked on for being a crybaby or a follower, when all he wanted was friends. So, as he grew older, he matured. Elijah became more outgoing, less emotional (presently) and became his own person. Although he wants to find a way to fit in, so he blends in any group. As he transferred to a new school, Dice and Ghost spot him, inviting him to their club. Elijah decides "why not" and joins their cosplay club, despite having little knowledge. He later then met Hiro, who points out his close resemblance to Ryuji from Persona 5.
