Robot vigilante   

None of this is required reading if you just want to draw Mechzar!

The big main robot of a little mecha story I'm working on. Mechzar (working name) is an old school (70s inspired) robot built by the protag's parent during an undisclosed fictional war. 30 years later the earth is invaded by extraterrestrial monsters. Protag decides she wants to fight back and pulls the giant robot out of storage, much to the displeasure of the Japanese(?) government. (Not sure if it's set in Japan or not) With the state and military on her heels she abandons her home and heads for the alien crash site. During the journey she finds others with similar ideas.

There are two more robots so far but eehh, anything can change

The crash site will likely be outside of Asia, (possibly Europe?) and they will not be able to fly for long periods of time so there will be some globetrotting probably

Pilot does not have a design yet but she's a 20-something y/o mechanic

Mechzar has some kind of alien life force weaved into its computer and possesses some telepathic abilities that allows it to connect to the protag's brain. Mechzar was built around the idea so it's integral to the steering/functions of the robot. There might be a risk of alien mindfuckery if it's connected to a human for too long lol (Also it's probably some kind of secret only the people who helped build it knows about)

Mechzar can be referred to with any pronouns!
