is Vincent's younger brother, they were born in Russia, although they would move to Mexico, Ryu's father abandoned them after he was born since he did not want to have more than one child, while his mother could not take care of them both alone because they did not have much money, so they mostly lived in an orphanage,  at this time he met his current friend Aaron, eventually ryu and Vincent got a family, some years later they died, Vincent was in charge of taking care of ryu, so they fought a lot, since Vincent saw ryu more as a hindrance , one of these fights ended quite badly, with ryu accidentally killing Vincent, this left him a serious trauma, but currently lives happier and quieter
