Her odd eyes stem from being injected with and surviving said injection of a rare poison from a Blackmouth, a type of basilisk. She doesn't seem to mind her odd appearance, though, and has on several occasions joked that it makes her appear more intimidating. She does, however, cover the giant bite scar on her shoulder from that encounter.
