| BASIC INFO |

Name: Alexandria

Nickname/s: Alex, Xander

Age: 25 (birthday April 13th)

Gender: Nonbinary

Pronouns: She/They

| GENERAL |

Hometown: Anistar City, Kalos

Relationship status: Single; pansexual

Personality: Loyal, Outgoing, Passionate, Honest, Sensitive, Stubborn, Competitive

+Loyal
Alex will always help a friend, no matter how big or small the need is. She will stick by their side whenever requested, and does their best to follow through on promises.

+Outgoing
Alex is friendly, simply put. Always the first to introduce themselves in new situations, always willing to make the first move.

+Passionate
When Alex believes in something, she believes with her whole heart. They can be said to wear their heart on their sleeve, but she sees nothing wrong with that. If one is going to support or believe in a cause, Alex believes you must give it all you can (this can often lead to them overextending themselves).

+/- Honest

Alex never learned the art of lying. Growing up, they were never able to lie to their parents successfully even over the littlest things, such as finishing their dinner or cleaning their room. You can always count on them to tell you the truth. Unfortunately their honesty carries over to more emotional matters-if they are asked what they think of someone, they will be brutally honest. They recognize that this can be hurtful and they are trying to get better at this.

-Stubborn
Alex’s parents often refer to them as a tauros when it comes to how stubborn they can be; immovable in their beliefs and decisions, once they are made it is nearly impossible to change Alex’s mind. It can be done, eventually, if Alex is willing to listen to a different point of view. This stubbornness also pertains to battles and adventures-Alex will always want to finish what they started, even if it is detrimental to their own being.

-Sensitive
Despite their lack of awareness when it comes to the power of their own words, Alex is very aware of their stance with others. She is a people-pleaser deep down, and opinions others have of them matter greatly to her. She isn’t exactly aware of this, and subconsciously will try to get into the good graces of everyone around them, even if it might not be in their best interest.

-Competitive
Alex is competitive; she always wants to be the one on top. This is partially driven by her stubbornness; they will be the best at what they do, otherwise why are they doing it? Failure is always humbling for them, and not an enjoyable experience. They are trying to accept that to learn is to fail, to be the best is to accept loss. They don’t like having to repeatedly learn this lesson, but nonetheless always tries to be a good sport, even when they’re screaming inside.

| HISTORY |

Alex grew up in the relatively quiet Anistar City, and grew up with pokemon as part of their everyday life. Treated more as members of the family than partners to train and battle with, she would baby her family pokemon and never push them to get stronger. There was no need in the city after all. The only trainers to come through always headed to the gym and left, hardly giving the rest of the city a glance outside of the one lone boutique. They spent their time dreaming about space and the sea, often wondering what it’d be like to be an explorer of either. Being such a small city, the night sky was never dulled by artificial light and stars shone brightly.

Alex had never actually seen the gym for the first decade of her life, uninterested in it and also warned against it from her parents. She was a strict rule-follower when she was young. However, things changed when they were 15.

More and more trainers were coming through to challenge the gym. It was unknown where the influx had started or why, but one thing had changed for sure-Battles were to be expected if one was even seen with a pokemon, inside or outside of a pokeball. If someone had a pokemon, they were expected to battle these strangers if challenged, whether they were a trainer or not. And Alex quickly learned that the gym in their city wasn’t a low level one; it was actually the second to last gym that any trainer seeking to challenge the league had to face, and as a result, they were a serious threat to any under-trained pokemon.

Because of all this, Alex and her family kept their pokemon in the house at all times. The only exception was their oldest pokemon, who’d earned the nickname Troublemaker, or “T” for short. He was an elderly meowstic who they’d rescued when he was young, and as such was still partially feral. He refused to be kept inside at all times, loudly vocalizing his displeasure and even flaring his ears (which as with any meowstic, housed its primary organ for its strong psychic abilities) as if to say “let me out or else.” He never did much other than knock around shoes and toys, but the threat was there.

Alex was in the yard with T on one of these days. Despite their yard being fenced and not along any major routes, a trainer spotted them, and demanded a battle. No matter how much Alex argued, the trainer would not back down and sent out their first pokemon-a mightyena. And while they were no trainer, Alex knew enough about typing to fear for her pokemon’s wellbeing.

The battle did not last long. T was in terrible shape, and Alex screamed at the trainer to leave them alone, that they had won, and threw whatever change she had on her in their direction. They thanked whatever gods watched them that the trainer was satisfied, and gathered the injured meowstic into her arms before running to the nearest pokemon center. Thankfully, his injuries, while severe, were treatable. The on-duty nurse gently explained that the damage was exceptionally bad to his eyes and one tail, and that they would not heal fully. That he’d be blind and they’d need to amputate the injured tail. While still upset, Alex was just grateful that he’d survived.

It was this event that led to Alex wanting to become a pokemon trainer. They wanted to be a better trainer than the one who’d ruthlessly attacked her family pokemon, both better in terms of skill and morality. She’d never attack a defenseless pokemon or pokemon trainer, for one. And they wanted to protect the pokemon under their care, whether they were battle ready or not. Upon leaving for Issho at age 25 to further their training (and also partially out of curiosity of the rumored shadow phenomenon,) she left the pokemon she’d trained with her parents, both to get a fresh start, and to make sure they were well protected.

(T is still alive to this day, but is now content to remain inside).

| TRIVIA |

-As a native Kalos resident, she grew up learning how to rollerblade and can do some simple tricks.

-Likes collecting seashells, seaglass, and other little trinkets that landed on the coast of Anistar City. Continues to collect small objects on their journey through Issho (has a whole section of their bag dedicated to it)

-She loves taking photographs, and dreams of purchasing an old polaroid camera so they can have instant pictures to hand out to friends. Favorite subjects to photograph outside of their friends and pokemon are landscapes.

-They greatly enjoy baking, hardly gets to do it now with adventuring but give them access to a kitchen and they will bake some kind of treat for the host

-Dislikes:

–Storms, as they were rather rough on the coast. If they catch news of an oncoming storm, they will hunker down in whatever building is nearest until it completely passes.

–Driving; Alex will always take public transportation over driving themself anywhere. They have a fear of driving that despite getting a license they never got over.
