Lemarcus Martin he/him | Young 20s | Artificer Sorcerer | African American | WereHyena
Call him Lemarcus, he hates nicknames for his name. Don't call him Mark or Marcus.
He's a big guy, tall and very comfortable in his own body. His natural hair color is black, can be seen a little bit at his roots, but most of his hair is a long dark red. Big burn scar on his left cheek and a little on his nose. Additionally a few small scars on his right eyebrow. Pierced ears, but doesn't usually wear earrings. Always a black choker on his neck.
Lemarcus is a gentle, kind, and open to being sociable. Not afraid to snarc back. Laid back in company, takes frequent small breaks while working on artifacts. He and Torri chat while they work when they don't need to focus as much on what they're doing. A lot of people liken him to a capybara, a huge honkin animal well liked by everyone, and of a friendly disposition like Lemarcus despite him being a werehyena. (its also due to his affinity for water, something capybaras are also known for)
Werehyenas are people who turn into hyenas on the new moons. They look like bigger versions of actual hyenas, with only some semblance of sapience and the memories of their human counterpart. The only way to make more werehyenas is for a decendant of a werehyena to be born on the night of a new moon or perform any magically draining rital under a new moon. On new moons, Lemarcus looks like a big spotted hyena. He spends the nights eating a prepared raw meal of meats and run around with other friendly werecreatures. Sometimes Torri joins him as a cat.
Moved from America to the Nuet island nation, near Japan. As an Artificer, he's basically an engineer working on magical assistive devices for commercial use. Works closely with Torri (another artificer) and theoreticals with Corbin (a librarian with a brain for the theoretical knowledge). Currently, he is most proud of his work on the Icarian seal, mean't to be a safety system for people falling from great heights (project coop by Prince and Corbin to)
