Protogen Empire

Second smallest of the five galactic empires, the Protogen are an exploratory empire. Protogen society is split into three castes. Almost all Protogen citizens are the lowest caste, protogen. Protogen are cyborg beings grown in massive development centers to be the workers and population of the empire. Above the protogen are the primagen. Primagen are a more advanced version of protogen, with more cybernetics and less flesh. Primagen are grown in development centers to be leaders. It is important to note that despite the caste sytem, there is no discrimination in the Protogen Empire, a stark contrast to the Ereesi, who practice a similar societal division. Above the primagen are the architects. The architects are an organic race responsible for the creation of the protogen and primagen. There have been zero confirmed sightings of architects by OPA citizens, their existence may be fictional. The architects are rumored to live inside a Dyson sphere encompassing their home star.
