Hans (Rosarium [AU])

Hans' unfriendly outward appearance isn't a mere front - he's hard to get along with. Surly, childish, and painfully awkward, he naturally repels other people. He tends to focus on his own gratification and is astoundingly lazy when it comes to matters that don't affect him. His penchant for hardcore music, dead things, and darkness surely doesn't help matters. Working as a comic book artist and technician at an arcade - most of his time is spent alone in the shady back room, engrossed in his own world.

Hans' comic ((rewriting this))... a demon hunter tasked with sending escaped sinners back to hell. It's gory, it's tasteless, it's full of nudity. The main character is constantly ripping of his clothes in battle because "the infernal hellfire" overheats his body. Basically, it's a big self-indulgent excuse to draw big dudes, big boobs, and blasted brains. Despite this lack of nuance, it's actually pretty popular in his state. Although proud, Hans uses a pseudonym because he doesn't want his mom to catch wind of it...

The only people who can really stand Hans are his mother and a few childhood friends. Underneath that dour disposition, he can be a bit of a naive goober. Believing in ghosts, silly superstitions, and cryptids, part of why he is so isolated is because he's afraid of all the 'Bigfeet' lurking around... But Hans does bravely go out to see his friends, James and Sylviana. With them, he's a lot nicer, more protective, and isn't afraid to be affectionate. For them, there is no threat he couldn't take on.
