Jericho screamed as the men dragged him away from his little sister. He struggled and fought, but it was useless. The girl in front of him just stood there in confusion, her blanket and sippie cup in her hands and a pacifier in her mouth. "Ella! Ella!!" At the sound of her name, then child began to toddle towards him, but before she could take more the two steps, a man scooped her up and carried her off. Jericho screamed even more. He kicked wildly.

All around him, kids were being taken from their parents. There was shouting and crying and the sounds of fights. Suddenly he was released as one of the guards buckled. Jericho broke free and began running after the man with his now crying sister. Behind him, his friend yelled after him, telling him to go.

Then someone grabbed the boys wrist. He saw the man and his sister go into the back of a black truck before his arm was pulled back and he was swung around. Violently, the one holding him threw him to the ground and he hit his head. The last thing he saw before blacking out was his friend, Kain, having his black and red bat ripped from his hands and the boy being restrained. The chaos soon became nothing to him as he fell into a black world.

When he woke up, he was in a place he didn't know. "Ella?!" he screamed as he sat up violently. The movement made him realize how much pain he was in and he fell back onto the pillows he was resting on.

"Woah, take it easy there, kiddo. You're in rough shape."

He looks over and sees several other teens watching him from their perches on the many bunk beds around him. All of them seem healthy and he doesn't recognize any of their faces.

"Where.... where am I? Where's Ella?! And Kain?! And-"

"Slow down, kid!!" Exclaims a dark haired boy. "There are no Ellas or Kains here. This is Project Detonation."

"Project.... Detonation?"

A tall girl nods. "Yup! And you're a part of it! Welcome to the family and welcome to hell!"

Jericho stares at them. "No. I want to go home. I want to see my family. I WANT MY SISTER BACK!"

Some of the others laugh while others just look at him sadly. "Don't we all kid. Maybe some day. But don't get your hopes up. At this point, I'd settle for just seeing the sun for a few minutes."

The kids all nod in agreement.

And in that moment, the full terror of his situation takes over Jericho and he begins to panic.
