Arwen was always something of a nervous girl. From her first days within the walls of her enclave where she would often keep quiet on things she saw lest she get someone in trouble to her going along with whatever busy work her instructor has her do in the mage's hall. Arwen has actually such a reputation of keeping her head down and keeping quiet that on more than a few occasions she's stunned people who knew her for weeks or months by speaking to their surprise having assumed she was a mute. However while this policy had kept her in neutral standings with those around her they often led to two main problems; a fact that she often doesn't know what she wants and most seem to look over her as though she were a part of a crowd. Countless times she has found her interests shifting depending on who she talked to. Even in terms of the discipline she would learn from but this in a way this is a lie. She does know what she wants but she also knows that it is often buried beneath loads and loads of the worries for the needs of others. If the situation permits, be it a talk with someone who she can actually confide in or with the aid of a lot of ale, she will spill forth her inner thoughts in torrents and will keep doing so until the source of her hidden burdens has completely run dry. However it is in these rants that a part of her is often unlocked and she finally is able to make up her mind on just what she wants and is more than able to then steer her way towards just that. As for her habit of blending in? Well, there are just some things that even ale or a talkative goblin can't fix.
