Rei inherited his ancestor's "dead eyes", thanks to that - he's able to see things others really don't. He's been haunted since a kid, and has learnt how to deal with them, but in a wish to run away from his overprotective family, he has become independent, renting an apartment with the help of his father's money. Rei is now rooming with Matcha to calm the hauntings and working in a convenience store.
Spirits and ghosts keep following him, so he tries spending most of his time where people are to ease his worries. Rei picked up the hobby of vlogging and cooking to distract himself -and so far- he's been enjoying it. Gaining fame on his '@icook.specters' social media accounts where he posts recipes on which a ghost pops up in the videos/photos here and there.

He's introduced to Pluto - who has quite the mean face - by his best friend. Sei recently realized there's no spirits when Pluto is nearby for some reason, cheering for Matcha to invite him to their apartment to enjoy meals in peace and keep on sharing in social media their daily life.
