About
A young Grem2 still, Aketu is nonetheless rather mature for his age having had to grow up rather quickly. His more negative experiences earlier in life have lead him to be quite the people-pleaser, quiet, polite and helpful. There's rarely a thing to small or large to ask of him that he wouldn't do, simply to gain the approval of those around him. While he has much healing to do, his path has already begun.
Aketu is rather studious and always tries to complete given work promptly and effectivley, enjoying the process of studying and working for the satisfaction a job well-done brings him. It had been difficult for him to disconnect at first, from the bustle of life happening around him, but slowly and surely he's beginning to find a soft sense of confidence him himself. That perhaps the world isn't so scary and closed to him.

Background
Aquired by a family with a rather "traditionalist view on the Grem2 species, all that seemed fairly loving and stable at first became unearthed and irregular not long into Aketu's life with his new human family. What began as a fairly innocuous set of events soon began to pile up. Aketu would always be the one asked to clean up when he and his five human siblings played together, no matter who'd made the mess. His parents always sided with his human siblings if ever there was a scuffle or disagreement. When his human siblings moved off to attend school, Aketu was told repeatedly that such a place is not one for Grems and when his human siblings pointed out that other Gremlings also attended, they were quickly shut down by comments dripping in dirision about pets at school.
As time went on, human siblings grew and began to take on the attitudes of their parents while Aketu tended to the house and when given a moment he thought he might get away with it, studying his sibling's homework in little hideaway spaces. It wasn't until young Aketu's teacher caught wind of what was happening through comments of the siblings and tipped off the authorities. Aketu was removed from the home and placed into the foster Grem system. It was a terrifying upheval, but it was through this experience that he was able to learn that his own sense of normal was deeply skewed.
By the time Aketu was able to leave the foster system, he'd been taught a little better how to socialise amongst others and was able to participate in schooling to catch up on what he had missed. He was a fast learner and University opened up a whole new world for the young Grem. It was here he met Harriet whom he'd later learn was much more than she seemed. They took to each other rather quickly, Hatty was calming and friendly, she seemed to gravitate towards misfits like Aketu and the two became fast friends. Deciding to travel the world, the two began to travel in Harriet's van while Aketu continued his schooling online
