Fletcher is the Court Warlock to the Wurrian monarchy and a former student of Karthland's Academy. He was Professor Alfred's most priced student, who helped him with his research on the mysterious Illithids.

Story Summary
Approaching graduation at the academy, Fletcher finds himself deeply involved in assisting Professor Alfred with Illithid research. Their focus extends to experiments on numerous jars of Illithid Parasites stored in the academy's laboratory. Alfred, with a keen eye on Fletcher's future, ensures he dedicates ample time to honing his skills. The looming plan for Fletcher to become the next Court Wizard to the Wurrian Monarchy leaves little room for socializing with his fellow students, intensifying his dedication to his studies.
Fletcher's journey kicks off as he takes a solemn oath to protect the Wurrian monarchy's royal family with his life, stepping into the role of Court Wizard. Amidst the court's peculiarities, he forms genuine connections with the queen's daughters. Tragedy strikes when an accident orchestrated by Alfred opens a portal, allowing Illithids to invade Olenor.
Despite Fletcher's dire warnings, Queen Madas embraces the Illithids, leading to disastrous consequences. She becomes impregnated by the Illithid emperor and, upon giving birth, meets her untimely demise. Left with the weight of his oath and Madas's daughters, Fletcher harbors deep distrust towards the Illithids, particularly after witnessing their parasitic nature. Fearing their insidious intentions, he decides to flee with only the youngest princess, leaving the eldest to embark on war and the middle sister to choose to learn from the invaders.
As Fletcher and the youngest princess flee, they find themselves relentlessly pursued by parasitic beasts, plunging them into the treacherous depths of Wurrian valleys. In a harrowing encounter, Fletcher succumbs to an attacg of a parasitic Olenoren folk, temporarily losing his sanity as a result. Their desperate flight leads them to the mysterious Melaphen of Norros, who intervenes just in time, saving them from the clutches of the parasitic threat. Now, Fletcher must navigate the aftermath of the Illithid invasion, wrestling not only with external dangers but also the shadows of his own fractured sanity, all while upholding the sacred oath he swore to protect the royal family.
Links
Beezlebub and Fletcher became close friends during their studies, with an interesting dynamic. Beezlebub is at most spiteful and pessimistic, whereas Fletcher always tries to see the good in things. Despite the vast difference of their appearances, they have become a great duo. Beezlebub doesn't see Fletcher as a perfect being like most students and professors do, calling him out on his mistakes and flaws on a regular basis.
While Fletcher and Saffran initially don't converse with each other much, it becomes evident that Fletcher seems to take a liking to Saffran, and this affection is reciprocated. When Saffran decides to stay with the Illithids, Fletcher respects her decision and departs without her. However, upon learning of the Illithids mistreating her, he returns promptly to rescue her from the palace. Despite Saffran's belief that Fletcher had lost hope in her, his forgiveness upon retrieving her proves otherwise.
Luthor frequently visits the Karthland Academy to conduct inspections mandated by his father. While stumbling upon the laboratory of Fletcher and Alfred, he threatens Fletcher by implying he will report the illegal research they are conducting to his father. The young prince ,however, offers not to expose Fletcher if he agrees to share all his future findings with Luthor. Fletcher, altough hesitant, agrees; never telling Alfred about his agreement with Luthor.
