A nice horse lady albeit rather forgetful. Gemma doesn't fret much over others' opinions nor their intentions, instead choosing to firmly believe that people will show their true colors on their own given the chance. Till proven otherwise, she sees no harm in giving people the benefit of the doubt and remaining courteous towards everyone. In return, to most people she seems like a rather jolly gal. Carefree too, even to the point of being thought to be plain careless and they aren't exactly wrong, but if there's something Gemma is serious about, it's motherhood.  She full well knows that she isn't the best mom around and definitely not the most experienced one, but she tries so hard to live up to that ideal image of what an Adhalan mother should be like; hard-working and self-reliant, but open to elder mothers' opinions.
Truth to be told, opening up is extremely difficult for Gemma and although asking for help is not difficult for her, being truthful about any personal problems is. She rather spends her energy on helping friends and acquaintances in general, simply hoping that her problems will eventually solve themselves if she let's them be.

Other
- Had her daughter when she was around 22 years old; knows who Frieda's father is, but their meeting was nothing but a fling and she hasn't seen the man since
- Good at gardening although her passions lie elsewhere
