Nilm was an upcoming playwright and a painter that had just started to gather the attention of high society. She was about to make it big with the release of her latest play. All she had to do was to travel to a nearby city that she'd all but forgotten the name of. It was supposed be a simple ship trip...but they faced a terrible storm that was never supposed have been there in the first place. The ship sank and the currents carried Nilm straight to the nearby rocky shoreline...the jagged edges of the rocks tore her body apart and it seemed like she was done for...but she heard a voice...a voice she couldn't really make sense of...but one she had heard before...yes...when she read that play...and again when she saw that sign...the voice grew louder, and as it did she felt a calming warmth...she closed her eyes, ready to accept her fate. But when she opened them she was...not where she was supposed to be, instead she found herself in what seemed like a throne room. And on the throne...sat a figure, his face was covered but nonetheless he was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen...he made a simple offer for her...serve and live...or refuse and die...
The morning of the storm, she found herself on the soft sands of the beach...she was somehow alive, her clothes torn and a massive scar running from her left knee up to her ribs to remind her of what happened...but at least she was alive. Now she travels, she made a promise, a pact in exchange for her life, and she intends to repay her savior. She will do anything to gather the attention and favor of the King in Yellow...
