"The Accident"

Dr. Rieker was experimenting with the fusion of subjects using the combination chambers: small pods that break down the cells of beings and reshapes them. Research was going well until Dr. Rieker's 16-year-old son, Mordekai, had hopped into one of the pods while exploring the RESTRICTED lab. The boy accidentally got locked within one of the chambers unbeknownst to the Rieker. Dr. Rieker continued his experiment, turning on the machine and ending up fusing his son with two other creatures. It was a horror to the entire institution.

Result

Mordekai's appearance has changed drastically, seemingly half of one creature with the other side being a different one. The left side keeps the boy's original skin color and texture, a keratin horn and elongated ear reminiscent of a cow's protrude from that side. The right side is a brilliant red with a scaled texture, similar to that of a reptile. The ear and horns mirror their counterpart except the color and texture. There is a visible split down the middle of these sides. The left eye's sclera has inverted in color though it appears to keep its function, the right eye has kept its color but the blue has increased in luminosity. Mordekai has sprouted a tail, sporting the same color scheme.

Unnamed scientist tagged Mordekai's left ear. Unnamed scientist #2 locked up Mordekai believing he was dangerous.
