Samuel Redd

Personality:

Samuel  is a quiet, kind person who keeps to himself without getting cold. He  makes friends easily but is bad at establishing strong relationships, as  he doesn't like letting people too close to him. He is a very sensitive  man and couldn't exactly be called manly. Despite having a somewhat  feminine demeanour he is capable of standing up for himself or others  when he deems fit, and is not quite as vain as his appearances may  suggest (even if he does take care of his looks more than the average  male).

Appearance:

Samuel Redd is a tall and thin man with  black, short hair. His eyes are of a bright brown colour, and his skin  is pretty delicate as well as pale. Whenever he isn't wearing his nurse  outfit, he can be seen in suits of various colours. He also likes  wearing cravats, sometimes even while wearing his nurse uniform. Though  at times, when he's alone in his room, he dresses up in women's  clothing.

History:

Samuel  was born into a upper middle class family as the second child. His  sister Suzette was six years older than him and they used to do  everything together, Suzette took care of him more than their own  parents did seeing as they were both busy working. They both worked in a  hospital which influenced both Samuel's and Suzette's career choices.  Being the oldest child, Suzette of course began studying to become a  nurse before Samuel, though the brother always helped his sister out  with studying whenever he could since it interested him, as well as  listened to whatever Suzette had to say about her occupation. She kept  telling him that he was very ambitious, and that he should definitely  try to become a doctor when he was older though he wouldn't mind  becoming a nurse himself.

When it was time for him to walk in his  parent's and sister's footsteps he studied to become a nurse instead  for a doctor, which was a bit unusual. Samuel felt like it fit him  better to be a nurse, you got a different contact with the patients that  way and it somehow felt like he made more of a difference. Soon after  he had begun studying though, his sister died of an unknown cause; the  doctors just told the family that she had fallen asleep one day at work  and never woken up.

Samuel continued his education, stayed at the  hospital for a while before he transferred to Collins Mental Hospital.  Apparently, not many got a chance to work at that place so he embraced  the opportunity, though the thought of leaving his family who hadn't  been able to fully recover from their daughter's untimely death pained  him. When he was a child playing together with Suzette, he often got to  try on her dresses and enjoyed wearing them but this was all done in  secrecy, as the society of then didn't approve of such behaviour. Having  to live with such secrets as dressing up in women's clothing and being  bisexual might be straining, though it wasn't like the last mentioned  really mattered anyway - Samuel had no intentions of getting in another  relationship as his past contained a few, highly unsuccessful ones.
