To most who have known Amos he is the formal, yet friendly Mr Amos Grey. A well-mannered optometrist who arrived in the small town of Heteka nearly 10 years ago with his son and a fancy-sounding British accent. The small family quickly settled down and became the picture of normality they are today.

Those who know him better understand that his life could not be more strange and confusing if he tried. Amos didn’t grow up in England. He didn’t grow up in this universe either. He first appeared on a small planet, existing in another reality, that was inhabited mainly by living mist creatures.

Amos, or Myeasheayaxl, as he is most commonly called, is, in reality, a weather god? Eldritch being? Shapeshifting, universe-hopping, seemingly immortal being of limitless power? Honestly, Amos has no clue. There are many more of his kind but the only real defining characteristic of them is their abilities (Jonathan has taken to calling them BIPs (Being of Immeasurable Power) for short recently but it hasn’t really caught on)

Amos prefers to keep out of the way of the rest of his kind as he finds they cause a lot of drama and when you are that powerful, drama can have world-ending results. He does have an immortal friend in the form of Briukixlux, who will occasionally pop over from his home dimension to catch up, despite the two frequently disagreeing. And then, of course, there is his son, Jonathan.

Jonathan isn’t really his biological son, seeing as he first appeared as a pulsating sphere of nothingness hovering in Amos’s kitchen. It remained there for the course of an hour as it morphed into a little cloud-headed human baby. Amos was thrown through a loop. He was in no way prepared for life as a single father, he already felt so overwhelmed by the strangeness of his own existence and had only just settled down on earth in the hopes of some relaxation a century ago. But on the other hand, he had been there, as a confused, new being, with no guidance and far too much power. He knew how bad things could go wrong and he didn’t want Jonathan to go through that either.

Years later Amos still struggles as a father. He desperately wants to be a good parent but is constantly second-guessing himself and simultaneously worries that Jonathan isn’t taking things seriously enough and that he isn't getting the normal childhood Amos had always wanted for him.

Amos is a complete pacifist and avoids using his powers against other people & beings whenever possible.

He is constantly amazed and fascinated by the natural world of Earth. As such, he always enjoys a good nature documentary.
