About

Braidy is enthusiastic and a bit of a punk. They make grandiose claims about their intentions, like wanting to be powerful, but this is seldom reflected in their actions. They don't end up catching many pokemon because they get so attached to the ones they have. They are actually rather logical in nature, but intentionally turn off their brain most of the time. They're just here to have fun, they don't take anything seriously.

Braidy doesn't form deep connections easy, despite being fairly personable. They like to heckle and confuse those around them, and can be a bit judgey. However, when they do form a bond, they become ride-or-die. They tend to think outside the box, and don't often share common opinions-- hence their willingness to join a criminal organization.

Background

Braidy was raised by their single mother, a retired ace trainer who specialized in Ghost types. As such, they grew up learning about Pokemon care surrounded by very powerful ghost Pokemon. Sometimes, mom's old team would "babysit," accompanying them when they went out on childhood adventures. Thus, they grew up aspiring to carve a name for themself just like mom, and were prepped for the day they could start their own Pokemon journey. Their mom let them take care of an Eevee at 5 so they could begin learning to train. When they turned 13, she took them to meet a Pokemon professor and pick a starter, and they chose a Piplup.

As they began their journey, they met 3 other trainers of the same age, Wicke, Tris, and Trace, and after a battle they hit it off and decided to travel together. The four began planning which gyms they wanted to challenge as they went, and met more friends to add to their pokemon teams. When they came into contact with the villain team, Braidy became intrigued by the idea of becoming a cool and suave bad guy, and began considering joining them.

• While they are in it for the glory, Braidy's favorite part of their journey has been exploring new places.
• Grew up near a lake and is a strong swimmer.
• Will sometimes latch onto a word and use it every sentence.
• Since their mom and her team preferred the night, their circadian rhythm is nocturnal and they like staying up late and sleeping in til noon.

One of Braidy's travel companions! Their first interaction was to heckle each other as they crossed paths on the way to one anothers' hometown's gyms. So in a way, they're rivals, too.

One of Braidy's travel companions! She doesn't take battling as deathly serious, just like Braidy, so they like her.

Trace

One of Braidy's travel companions! She and her Sylveon are also troublemakers along for the ride, so they get along well.
