Adoption prompt

It is a common joke amongst the lions to inquire about Phil’s eating habits. Comments such as “Why are you eating? Just go sunbathe for a bit,” and “Hey look, it’s chloro-PHIL!” Admittedly, Phil thought those comments were quite clever, although it was sometimes hurtful being constantly singled out for something that he couldn’t control.

What Phil didn’t know, however, was that the other pride members adored the green colour of his fur. Some lions even envy it, for they feel that their fur is too bland and too difficult to distinguish from the coats of other lions, however it is agreed upon that Phil’s fur is certainly unique and, in more cases than not, results in the young lion being more desirable to any love interests.

Within the Pride of Neve, lions consider unusual and vibrant colours to be that of particular appeal and mothers and nursers will often pay special attention to those cubs as, even though they lose their ability to hunt and scout well, it is suggested that the brighter the colour of a lion’s fur, the brighter the contents of their soul. Whether or not that’s actually true is unknown to the lions however the tradition of the honouring (and sometimes friendly teasing) of brightly coloured lions continues, consciously in some and subconsciously in others.
