BACKSTORY:

Lucifer grew up in a mountain cave with his loving parents and older brother, Crowley. Due to their parents' favouritism of Lucifer, Crowley grew to hate and resent him. This hatred simmered quietly for several years until, when Lucifer was six years old, Crowley snapped and tried to kill him. Only their father's quick intervention saved his life. Crowley ran away afterwards, leaving Lucifer to wonder how everything went so wrong.

After this incident, Lucifer's parents became very overprotective out of fear that something would happen to him again. They sheltered him excessively, eventually causing him to develop a small rebellious streak.

PERSONALITY:

Lucifer is a kind, sensitive boy who's undeniably a little naive. His mother never let him go out alone or make friends because she was terrified of something happening to him. This caused him to develop a rebellious streak and start sneaking out against her wishes, but because of his sheltered upbringing, his understanding of 'the real world' is limited. With his happy, optimistic outlook, it can be hard for him to comprehend danger and he often ends up getting hurt or scared as a result.

Lucifer has an unparalleled ability to forgive. This shows in his desire to reconcile with his brother despite the fact that Crowley bullied him when they were children. He knows deep down that Crowley doesn't want to reconcile, but he can't help wishing for a happy future in which his family are together again.

Another consequence of being so sheltered is his social awkwardness; he's timid when talking to strangers and struggles to initiate conversation. However, he genuinely enjoys meeting new people and longs for companionship. He's likely to trust anyone who approaches him in a friendly manner, even if multiple cues point to them being dangerous.

DESIGN:

Lucifer is a white crowdragon with blue eyes. His body is smoothly scaled, with feathers only on his wings, neck, and tail. He's undersized for his species, and his pampered upbringing has given him a chubby build. He sometimes wears flower-themed accessories, both with real flowers and without.

ABILITIES:

Lucifer has the ability to open portals for travelling around. However, using this ability is a struggle, requiring a lot of concentration, so it's not something he could do under pressure.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Crowley

Lucifer's brother, who he hasn't seen since they were children. He's desperate to reconcile with Crowley, despite the slow realisation that Crowley wants nothing to do with him.

Gin

One of Lucifer's best friends. He admires Gin's optimism, kindness and hardworking mentality.

TRIVIA:

- Enjoys videogames (after being introduced to them by his friend Gin) and is quite good at them despite not having human hands.

- Enjoys swimming, but is afraid of the creatures that might live in deep water.
