Life as a royal never satisfied Qui. From a young age they only wanted to leave the palace and explore the world. If they had been an only child they may have been forced to stay inside but as the youngest they were given some freedoms. With two older siblings they never have been expected to take the throne. This did not mean they got to skip out on their training but it did give Qui more freedom to choose their topics of study.
Unilke their siblings Qui always had a desire to explore the world outside their island home. It was taught that humans were lesser beings but that did not make them any less interesting. After a near-death experience and being saved by a human their respect for humanity grew and caused them to become more curious about their fellow sentient beings. Qui has done what few of their kind has done in centuries in attempting to bridge the gap between humans and the One.
While not all humans accept the large and scaled alchemist that does not stop Qui from approaching anyone they deem interesting. If gifts of alchmey do not draw in the crowds Qui is more than happy to slay a few monsters instead.

Despite the occasional better-than-you attitude that came with being raised as such, Qui tends to be enjoyable to spend time with. They are generous and friendly even though it can sometimes be overbearing. Not one to leave their debts unpaid and would go to the ends of the earth for their friends.
While an average height for their species, Qui towers over most other humanoids. When wearing clothing it is either incredibly simple or incredibly fancy and there is no in-between. Fancy outfits typically take the look of scaled armor and are used for special occasions or royal duties.
Their hair is messy and untamed, much like the rest of their look. Their arms and legs are scaled though they have a soft texture to them.
