demihaud's nicknames/codenames, "gvaernaine" and "lyskerinde", both mean "ms. sunlight" in nilfgaardian and hen linge respectively.
demi is not very strong, but very, very magically powerful. they try to avoid fights wherever possible.
demihaud is pronounced deh-mee-hod, rhyming with "god."

Design Notes

demi has three scars across his face. they're not very wide, but they're pretty deep.
demi wears a whole assortment of things! demi likes to dress in all sorts of fem and masc things, and jewelry can vary wildly too.
demi is pretty tall, and thin, but wiry. they have a lot of piercings, but no tattoos.

YOUTH

Having been born to a sex worker mother who died in childbirth, Demihaud knows very little about his family. As far as his appearance goes, he's fairly certain he's elven, and given his conception lining up to a reported sighting of Aen Elle wreaking havoc on a town - he has an inkling that his white hair and bright eyes leave him related to the Aen Elle. While he didn't get to know either of his parents, he was raised by those who were willing to take care of him -- friends and coworkers and close previous lovers of his mother, eventually leading him to live partially among the Aen Seidhe.

Growing up in difficult conditions, Demi developed a want to help take care of those who took care of him fairly young - and combined with a magical affinity, she was quickly taken in by mages to learn their ways in Ban Ard.

YOUNG ADULTHOOD

Demi studied under a mage who worked directly with witchers, and in this, he learned the secrets to witcher trials. However, seeing children be harmed in the way that they were in the trials distressed him, and he eventually left the life, becoming a home mage with no interest in court.
