Sunshine Riggs was born into the generic family, having two parents who are happy for their own well-beings. This was something that bugged her from a young age but didn't let it affect her that much. What did affect her was the fact that they literally named her Sunshine and the kids at school looked at her funny when they found it out.
As she got older, with the help of using the internet, she grew fond of the idea of being completely different from her parents (and the internet goth culture). Sunny started buying all black and completely redecorated her bedroom. Her parents, supportive as always but confused, didn't really get the sudden change. There was definitely the 'not a phase' talk.
After a while, they started to worry that something was wrong with her and as a last resort; enrolled her to Oakwood Academy. Sunny was more than happy to go, excited to not have to deal with her parent's toxic positivity everyday.
Sunny's relationship with her parents is complicated. Despite loving them, Sunny is easily annoyed by them. She still gets in contact with them though.
Sunny and Yule don't know eachother that well, she mainly knows him cause of Noella. She doesn't like how loud he is, but is thankful for the occasional homework help.
One of Sunny's only friends, she values their friendship and are sometimes seen together drawing stuff.
Sunny thinks Jenny is too dumb for her own being. Although it's pretty funny sometimes, she wishes that Jenny left her alone.
