Malik Petelei

Personality: While some extroverted souls find themselves motivated by fame or glory Malik is a quiet and reserved individual. He isn’t one to speak his mind unless pressed and prefers keep to himself and work hard day by day in the same routine. Overall he isn't much of a risktaker and borderline a cheapskate when it comes to certain aspects of living. But he does mean well. To him, success of the business means success for the family and with success comes stability And with those ideals in mind he works to secure that dream of a stable life for a safe family.

 History:

Born as the eldest son of seven, Malik spent most of his time in a balance between misadventures with his identical twin sister Malak, and the disciplined hours with his father, uncle, and grandfather learning the ropes of the fifth generation teahouse he was to inherit. During his time with Malak the two would often explore the marketplace together, inspecting various cargos and caravans from the exciting places of the outside world. Sometimes they even went as far as to switch places.

And naturally, as one would expect, their father, Bataar, and his wives, were very upset when they caught the two.

 After the first time, Malik’s father beat his feet, and Malak’s hands to the point of permanent scarring with the idea that he would be able to tell the two twins apart by Malak’s hands and Malik’s walk.

And after the second time, Malak was sold off so that it wouldn’t happen again. Of course, because of the rumors and Malak's own hands she wasn’t sold as high as of a price, but at least she joined a family that lived far away from the Petelei Teahouse which helped end most of the gossip that came from the incidents.

 Since then Malik’s life has been complete dedicated to the family business. Later on as he grew and more of his sisters were sold off, the Teahouse expanded to include rooms upstairs for as a hotel service. And when he was about fifteen or so the family grew to include Mehrinaz, who would later become his first wife.

Nowadays he rarely thinks about his twin sister and instead focuses all of his energy on improving the Petelei Teahouse and Hotel and figuring out the mysteries of domestic family life.
