Pre Realm Reborn

Born and raised in a mountian village of the Veena Viera, Thal's ubringing wasn't too different to a Male Veena living in the mountianous area of Golomore Jungle. His longing for adventure started to distract him from his training as a Wood-warder, and he soon left his home to pursue exploring the whole of the Source. Although he was certainly saddened that he would never be able to return to his original home, he soon found that he'd be able to make a new home in his adventures through Eorzea.

He spent a good bit of time after leaving his home village in the Kingdom of Dalmasca. He spent his time plying different trades; with textiles, baking and some artistry being what he made most of his living off of. During his time in the kingdom, he met a Hyur who'd come after leaving their own village. He grew close with them, but was heartbroken after their rejection of his affection and subsequent joining the Garlean Empire. Unable to stay in the Kingdom due to both the heartbreak and the stranglehold the Empire had on it, he left.

His journey continued towards Eorzea, learning archery along the way, and gaining a deep interest in music, which would stick with him for the rest of his journeys. Along his journey he meets another Male Viera named Hyican who joins him on his traveling. Hyican and Thal grow very close and become partners in their journey, though the world is cruel, and Hyican dies around the Seventh Umbral Calamity, leaving Thal to spend the rest of the time journeying by himself, again heartbroken. After about 5 years after the events of the Calamity, Thal arrives him Gridania along with two curious Elezen twins, and his adventures throughout Eorzea begin.
