PROFILE

A General of Watatsumi island who served in the Vision hunt war, Katsumi is in her mid twenties. She can be often seen wandering around her home island, or sparring with the troops and Gorou in her free time. Some describe Miss katsumi as a surprising figure that always keeps you on your toes. Her looks can be deciving, but not in the way one may think. After her time spent in Liyue, and the war now over, Katsu spends much of her time as stated sparring and wandering, and avoiding her mother. When not accompanying Kokomi to a peace meeting with the Shogunate, she is writing letters to the friends she made in Liyue, one person in particular. Although, with said person soon to give her a surprise visit she may soon be busier than what she has currently been.

PERSONALITY

Katsumi is often decribed as an optomistic realist, who knows when to work hard so she can play hard. She'd friendly, and caring, almost motherly if it werent for her rather adventurous nature. She looks out for everyone, especially those younger than her, and enjoys the company of others. She fights hard for what she believes in, and is stubborn; never giving up. She is both playful and stern depending on what the situation calls for, and takes her duties as General very invredibly seriously, and likes to explore and mess about when she's off the clock. She can be incredibly silly, or incredibly nervous (also see: whenever Baiyun is painting near sharks with legs).

Character details

Many amongst Inazuma know of the Generals of Watatsumi, and of the two, one is less known, although seemingly just as formiddable. Mitsue Katsumi is a skilled fighter who has taken lives and defnded them on the battlefield. Many beleive her to be rutheless and cold hearted, but this could simply not be farther from the truth.

Katsu is actually an incredibly kind woman, with a heart capable of loving endlessly. The picture many have of her in battle is only a fraction of who she truly is. Underneath her skilled baldemanship and control over the fire in her veins is a kind caring woman who enjoys goofing off, spelunking (cave exploring), and late night dinners with friends and family. she enjoys spending time with loved ones, and its not uncommon to find her goofing around with Gorou or Kokomi and their troops when the group of them have the day off. She adores listening to anyone talk about anything, and she also enjoys surpring people; something which she seems to do quite often.

Miss Katsumi is a formidable opponent, yes, but she's also very efficient in her role of General outside of battle. Both before and after the civil war, Kastumi worked with Kokomi to help maintain the inner and outter workings of Watatsumi, and after the war finished and she'd finally retruned, continues to do so, helping restore the islands previous economy. Now the war is over, she isnt sure what she'll do with her large amount of spare time, but she's sure she'll find something (or someone) to keep her on her toes.

Story 1

As a child, Katsumi was far more wild and out there than what was expected of her. her parents, while they preffered if she toned it down a bit, didnt try to extinguish her flame in hopes to simply redirect it. this, unfortuantly, would never work.

Her mother, a head of the Watatsumi shrine, raised Katsumi under the hopes that the small child would grow up to follow in their footsteps. this, unfortunatly, would not be the case. Katsumi was far louder and rougher than the other girls her age, and while she knew the etiquette and behavior one should exhibit, she was completely uninterested in following her mother and the other girls. One girl in particular, the Sangonomiya girl, Katsumi grew to understand was the heir to the seat of the Head Priestess. As children, the two grew up together, and one occasion is what led to Katsu's mother to finally let go of any hope she had of Katsumi following in her footsteps.

Late afternoon, after following her mother and the other girls around, Katsumi, who was 15 at the time, had grabbed Kokomi's hand and dragged her with her, ignoring Kokomi's insistance they needed to stay for tea practice. Katsu had shrugged her off, and dragged the soon to be Shrine Maiden through the small village and down bridges and slopes, before bringing her to the mouth of a seemingly small cave. Kokomi had seemed hesitant but Katsu had promised it would be ok, so the two venture inside. Kokomi had long since recieved her own vision, with Katsumi yet to aquire one. She did not mind however, as vision or no vision she has already sworn to herself she will defend the people she cares for, and what she beleives is right.

Leading Kokomi into the cave, the two skip that afternoon's lessons, and the next morning when Katsumi reappeats, ignoring the chidings of her mother with her own tales of the things they saw and the Hilichurls she'd fought off, its then that her mother decides to give in. Her daughter is not like her, may never be, but she does not mind, because Katsumi's ambition for her people, her friends and family, showed how much she cared; and so her mother could live with that.

Story 2

Katsumi had always been an energetic child, keen to learn of the world around her, of her nation and her home land. Her excitedness, but seeming understanding, helped her make many a friends as a child, friendships that would last her a lifetime, and friends that she could count of in times of need. One of these friendships, which would turn to a life long alliance, was one with the Sangonomiya, Kokomi. The two grew up together, Kokomi listening keenly to the speeches of the head shrine maidens while Katsumi paid more attention to the guards around the shrine. she had little interest in any of the ongoings in the shrine, while Kokomi listened carefully. The two were rather unlike one another, and yet became the best of friends rather quickly. Katsumi's charm pulled Kokomi in, and the future to be Sangonomiya enchanted the young girl. the two got along swimmingly.

Kokomi's interest in battle, and militry tactics, and added surprise talent for it had led the two of them into much trouble as children, and young teens. Kokomi's Vision had proven to simply just be a way to get the two out of trouble whenever they managed to inevitably end up in it. The two of them met one of the boys, a son of one of the soldiers, a soldier himself, a tail wagging behind him and ears twitching on his head. Gorou, he said his name was, and with the addion to their group, the three became almost inseperable. Katsumi, unfortunately, was often left by herslef as the years went by, her two friends often busy with respective duties. it was during this time that Katsumi began to further train her swordsmanship, and picked up the skill of using a claymore.

It was amsuing to watch the surprise on her friends faces when she signs up to the Watatsumi task force, and further when her paperwork has "Sword and Claymore user" scribbled in the 'Capable weaponary' section.

Story 3

As prevoisly stated, Katsumi has always had a fierce loyalty and passion for protecting her friends and family and those she cares about. It is why it really isnt any surprise that she eventually decides to sign up to the troops of Watatsumi island. Not many women were often found in the ranks of the watatsumi army, as it was small as is, so she was questioned by those who did not know her. Although, when she summons a large claymore, and pulls a Vision from her pocket in those first few weeks in front of anyone who questioned her, it immediatly shut them up; and for those that that did not suffice, she would show them exactly what she was capable of. she'd been training as a swordswoman for years already, so she was already well trained. The addion of the claymore to her skillset set her up to be a fierce enemy to anyone on the battlefeild, but she was mercifull when needed, a good balance to Gorou's hot headedness in the heat of battle.

It was one of these afternoons that she was approched by a group of her fellow soldiers, one of them stepping from the group to sheepishly ask her to help with their swords training. It was this particular moment that Katsumi had recognised she had finally been accepted amongst them.

She agrees enthusiastically, and spends the afternoon with them. it is why, nowdays, whenever someone asks her for advice, particularly about how to make oneself fit in, Katsumi will reply with "You dont make yourself fit into their ideals, you cut your own space and force them back, show them you belong just as much as they do".

Story 4

Katsumi was not even 18 when she joins the Watatsumi forces, and yet, she still manages to find far too much free time for a young woman in the army. Regardless, Katsumi still manages to spend it doing the things she loves. If she's not experimenting with her Vision or taking out enemies on the shores and slopes of the Island, she's crawling deep through Watatsumi's cave systems or studying her culture and those of other nations, occasionally managing to slip away on trips to the other Islands making up the region, occasionally managing to score a spot on a trip to Narukumi.

She spends much of her years like this, her 18th birthday spent with friends and family, her accomplishments slowly stacking up to an impressive pile. Unfortunatly, not long after her 26th birtday, the tensions rising amongst Inazuma and between Narukumi and Watatsumi finally snap. with the introduction of the Vision Hunt Decree, everything is suddenly pulled under in a strom of anger, regret, confusion, of pure turmoil. It does not take long, however, for a resistance to begin to form.

It is also not surpring that Watatsumi, one of the few islnds in Inazuma who doesnt bow down to the Shogun, is where the resistance really begins to come together. As a General now herself alongside Gorou, and Kokomi unsurpringly taking the lead, the resistance is established, and they quietly begin to recruit others from the different reaches of Inazuma. With addions to their troops like the Kamisato clan helping recruit more people, their numbers soon grow, and it doesnt take long for the Shogunate to take notice, and very soon it becomes a war.

Gorou and Katsumi are not uncommon sights on the battlefeild, and the sight of bodies still makes Katsu's stomach churn, the smell of blood making her gag on reflex. One so fond of battle would think she'd be used to it, but apparently not. After a hard six months of fighting, Katsumi's squadrent and a group of Shogunate soldiers face off in a battle at sea, waves churning and soldiers launching themsleves at opposing enemy troops. In the midst of this battle, Katsumi is flung from her ship, left to wrestle with the angry waves and churning waters.

Katsumi is lucky, really, that she manages to survive in the storm long enough to be dragged aboard a merchant ship, headed for Liyue. she thanks them greatly, and now stands the challenge of beginning to figure out her return trip home.

Story 5

The Merchant that comes to her rescue is headed to Liyue, they tell her, and now she is too. When she arrives, well, her current situation is odd. Due to the storm suddrounding the nation, and the laws closing it almost completely off to the ouyside world, not many people are willing to try to sail through it. So, for the meanwhile, Katsumi was stuck in a freign nation, with all of her knowledge about the place coming from her previous research.

She spends a lot of her time trying to find someone willing to take her home, as well as exploring this new nation. It was nice not to worry about being chased or having to gp fight an enemy soldier every five minutes. Liyue is a charming city, the harbour bustling with activity an excitement.

On one of the many days she spent wandering the nation, on the outer edges away from the harbour, she stumbles across what appears to be an unchecked Domain. The monsters flowing out of it were certianly a concern, and so she desides to take them out herself. a crowd gathers stedily as she easily takes them out- the enemies in Liyue were far more tame than the ones in Inazuma. With the monsters slowly taken care of, the crowd disperses, and a teen approches her. They seem incredibly intrigued, and its amsuingly endearing and sweet. After many questions from the young teen, Baiyun's attention is drawn to the large rift. She had intended on leaving it to the authorities, but now she'd been seen as willing to help...

Baiyun had seemingly somehow never heard of a Domain before, yet was intrigued by it nonetheless. When Katsumi starts rambling, the teen seems to jump on the first noncomittal statement of hers about having them help. With a deep sigh, she gives in; "Well, you're a Vision holder so at least you've got sometheting to protect yourself with". Unbeknownst to her, she would end up clearing quite few things up along the way.

They progressed through the domain, and Katsumi along the way taught Baiyun many things. she had learned, astoundingly, the teen did not even known what a Vision was! Or that he himself had one. That- was the star of a long conversation, but the many monsters in the domain proved to be an excellent way to teach them how to use their Vision; their shared elemental type being rather useful in said teachings. In return Baiyun told her of all the things they knew about Liye- albeit as little as that was. The alliance with the younger Pyro user turned out quite well, even if Katsumi did more of the physical work herself. she did not mind at all, especially if it kept Baiyun out of trouble. And thry seemed to enjoy tagging along, hearing of Inazuma, about Visions, even the in depth information Katsumi had on the monsters they came across.

By the end of their journey together, Katsumi has found a pirate willing to brve the seas around Inazuma to help return her home. She had learned much about Liyue- but mos importantly to her had made a new friend, one she considered to be as close as a relative now. When Biayun hands her the first mask they have made since reciving their Vision, she beams at them, and in return, unbuckles the pearl on the badge of her uniform, handing it to him. "Sango pearls are abundant on Watatsumi, and no where else. It is a reminder of me, and our friendship". There has been no further communication between the two, but she made it home safe, and with the victory over the Vision hunt decree, she hopes to soon travel again to Liyue, as she cannot help but wish to see Baiyun again.

Position of power

Katsumi joined the ranks of the Watatsumi army at the age of sixteen. She worked her way up, devotion, loyalty, and hard work, as well as her impressive skill. Her promotion to general came not long after her 18th birthday. With her group surrunded by Fatui, drawing closer to them. She's scared, because who would'nt be? but she refuses to give in, and with the higher ups in their group injured, Katsu decides they need a plan. Working with the others in their group and the rescorces they have, they put together a trap. Using her Vision, she's able to draw them away, to the campsight. Setting off the explosives themselves, the Fatui are fought off by the remaining Watatsumi soldiers.

upon arrival back home, Kokomi is stood waiting for her, and Archons she is terrified she's fucked up. But when her friend smiles at her proudly, and presents her with the badge, Katsumi looks at her with surprise and shock. general? no way. she cries as she envelopes Kokomi in a hug, the two augh. Wow. General. She cant begin to grasp it. She's now General Mitsue Katsumi of the Watatsumi Island Troops, and alongside Gorou, she wont let this island and her people down.

Vision

Visions are bestowed to mortals by the gods, to those they deem worthy, and to those whos amitions they recognise as strong. Katsumi has always looked up to Vision bearers, but she also respects others who do not have one. A person can be loyal, admirable, ambitious, without having a Vision gifted to them. because people are strong, and Katsumi is loyal and amtitous without having a Vision of her own. Although, when She recives her Vision at the age of 15, a year after Kokomi, it appears suddenly

It appears suddenly, without any warning in a bright shining light. it clinks down onto the table she's sitting at, drawing the attention of a few people nearby. She grabs it and looks at it with confusuion, and it stares back at her, ref, the pyro flame symbol embedded into it. She squeals at the gem in her hands, and everyone around her gives her a srnage look before returning back to their own conversstions.

The first thing she does? hunts down Kokomi and Gorou, to show them. theyre both so happy for her, as she is, and Kokomi drags her to the shrine to find the Inazuma decal that her Vision now sits in. The reason for the Vision? The same hardworking devotion she feels for her people. Her day had been spent tackling monsters and helping around the village, the usual, but the deotion, ambition for further, it had attracted the attention of an Archon, who then bestowed her a Vision, in hopes it helps her acheive to further those ambitions.

Voice Lines

Hello- "Oh, hi! It's wonderful to meet you, I'm Mitsue Katsumi, you can call me Katsumi or Katsu though! And this is- hey! Baiyun, wait! *Runs off*"

Chat; Sango pearls- "Do you know what a sango pearl is? They're native to Watatsumi and a region specialty, I absolutely love them! What- you've never seen any? Oh, you're missing out! Come, let me show you!"

Chat; sword fighting- "What's that? You practise swordsmanship? Oh, come spar with me! I haven't used mine in a while- I'll leave the claymore to the side hehe I promise!"

When it rains; during- "Ah, it's raining! I suppose I'm not going to be joining Gouro or Sangonomiya in training today, heh. Pyro visions aren't much fun in the rain, the elemental reactions are annoying. That's alright though, I have some other ideas! How about it Traveller, would you like to join me in some quiet tea time?"

After the rains; when the sun is out- "Oh! Excellent, it’s stopped raining! Come, Traveller, let us train! I have some excellent sword strategies to show you, and some excellent ways to counter with pyro! What's that, you are unable to control fire currently? Oh, well, seeing your track record you will one day! So lets go!"

When thunder strikes- "Ah, it seems the almighty Narukumi Ogosho has been angered, likely by our rebellion. Do not fret, we have nothing to fear, we are safe on Watatsumi".

When it snows- "Wow, it's absolutely gorgeous. Not anything I'm used to, nor have seen before. Dragonspine truly is incredible, thankyou for bringing me here Baiyun ''.

When the wind blows- "Windy, hmm, unusual weather for Watatsumi. Although it is nice, and not the chaotic rush of wind before a storm. It seems it will be a good day today! Come Traveller, it's the perfect weather for exploration!"

Good morning- "Ah, good morning Traveller! You are just in time to join me for my morning jog! Follow me, I know the perfect spot on the island to watch the sunrise from!"

Good afternoon- "Good afternoon Traveller! How has your day been? Good? Excellent! I'm glad to hear it. My day? It's been the usual training and resistance business, but I am free this afternoon. Would you like to join me for a stroll?"

Good evening- "Yes? Oh, it's evening already? I hadn't noticed, I got sidetracked with some new claymore designs. Have you eaten? No? Come then, join me and the others for dinner, Sangonomiya Kokomi won't mind I'm sure"

Good night- "Ah, I see you're still awake. Heading to bed yet? Yes? Good, good, one must rest well in order to maintain their strength. Sleep well Traveller, goodnight"

Abous us; world of the stars- "I have heard about you. You faced the Shogun to save the Thoma boy right? I'm incredibly impressed, although it must be usual for you, no? Travelling amongst the stars and all, I'm sure you've encountered your fair share of fights, battles and enemies, its likely nothing new for you"

About us; the resistance- "Hello Traveller! How have you been? Kokomi has roped you into the resistance, hasn't she? I am not surprised at all, although I am glad for the assistance. Well, as part of the honorary Watatsumi Island Resistance, you ought to get shown around! Please follow me, let me show you around the island and the resistance camp!"

About us; Teyvat and its people- "You've met many on your travels across Teyvat already, yes? You've been to Mondstadt and Liyue? Ah wonderful! Please, tell me about it! And the other worlds you've been to before this! I am curious about how you see our world and Inazuma, and how it compares to where you've been to before. How about me? Ah, my parents raised me in the hopes I'd become a shrine maiden like my mother, although I certainly don't fit the role. I know the rules, etiquette, but well, while I dress the way I do; it certainly doesn't match who I am. It's amusing to see the surprise in my enemy's eyes when the woman they suspect of holding a hydro vision throws flames their way. My parents dressed me similarly when I was young, and I stuck with it, it suits me I feel, in an ironic way. General of Watatsumi alongside Gorou fits me far better than a maiden of the shrine".

About Baiyun; time together- "Oh yes! Baiyun is an amusing character, although when you get to know them you'll see why. They're incredibly sweet, and ambitious. I'm glad I met them while in Liyue, they really mean the world to me. Although I think perhaps I would have returned sooner if it weren't for their antics, I don't mind. It was incredibly amusing really, and an enjoyable experience. They're quite the character, and I consider them a wonderful friend now. I wonder how he's doing back home..."

About Baiyun; returning to friends- "I haven't been able to remain in reliable contact with him, even now the war is over. It’s incredibly difficult to send mail through closed borders, which is a shame because now we've won the war I was hoping to leave. Perhaps it’s easier to leave now? I ought to ask Beidou next time she docks in Ritou, she'll be able to help me, I'm sure of it. She's an incredible seafarer, and Captain. *Sigh*, politics really do go over my head a little. I'm sure I can figure something else out! And we can get you on your way to your next destination while at it!"

About Gorou; fellow General- "Ah yes! Sir Gorou, second General in charge of the troops kf Watatsumi and previously, the resistance of the Vision Hunt Decree! He's a wonderful General, although don't take him into meetings with an opponent, his ears and tail do give away his emotions easily. He’s a wonderful person, training with him is always enjoyable! I'd like to consider him a friend of mine, I do hope he considers me the same".

About Sangonomiya Kokomi- "Miss Kokomi is a wonderful person, and a close friend of mine. I grew up around the shrine, following my mother while she tried to push me to learn the ways of a shrine maiden. Me and Sangonomiya are of similar ages, and so we get along well, now and back then. We were very busy during the war, and my time on the front lines left little time for catching up, but she proved herself to me a long time ago, so I saw no reason for our leader to be on the frontlines. She is well respected, and she is dear to me".

About Kujou Sara- "Ah, the General of the Shogunate, right? Yeah, I thought I knew her. She's a formidable force, almost taking me and my men out many times on the front lines. Peace talks were awkward there for a little while for sure, me and Gorou took turns attending them with Kokomi. He is, er, a little more aggressive than myself, or angry anyhow, but yes, Kujou Sara is certainly a formidable woman. I am glad the war is over, I would not want to have to face off against her again".

About Kamisato Ayaka- "Ah, the heir to the Kamisato Clan, yeah, I know her. She was one of the recruiters, so to speak, for the resistance during the war. She and Kokomi know each other, although I am not sure. She's a gorgeous young woman, so graceful- she reminds me of what my mother always wanted me to be! Haha, anyhow, yes, Miss Kamisato, she's rather shy, but so sweet, although I should probably stop treating her like my niece, that may be a conflict of interest..."

About Thoma; the Kamisato housekeeper- "Thoma? Oh, oh! The housekeeper boy! Yes yes I've met him once or twice! A cheery man if I must say so, and a kind soul if I've ever met one. He seems quite popular around Narukumi island for that matter, which doesn't surprise me at all whatsoever. He helped me when I was looking for some fabric after the war was over- excellent person, I like him a lot, yes".

About Yae Miko; the Guuji of Narukumi- "Yae Miko? Huh? Oh, she's the head shrine maiden right, or Priestess? Yes yes her, I've only met her once or twice, but she's an- odd character. Very mysterious, but I believe she's been around for a long time so I suppose that's fair enough. Her and the Shogun? I've no idea what you're talking about Traveller, although now I'm curious. Anyhow, the Guuji is intriguing, although I am always careful around her- a kitsune spirit is not one to mess with after all, especially not in Inazuma ''.

About Arataki Itto- "Huh? Never heard of him. He's an Oni you say? With a grudge against Kujou Sara? Oh, now that sounds amusing, I must meet him now- for personal reasons! It has absolutely nothing to do with Sara or annoying her whatsoever, I swear!"

About Yoimiya; the fireworks girl- "Yoimiya? Oh, oh the Naganohara girl! Yes, everyone knows them! Naganohara Fireworks are famous, even all the way over here on Watatsumi! Everyone knows her and her fireworks! They're absolutely gorgeous, and I always gather the island orders and head over to Narukumi each year before any of the festivals! It makes Kokomi's day whenever I return with them. I'm usually in charge of lighting them as well, because, ya know, pyro vision and all. Yes, Yoimiya is a creative chattery thing, lovely girl!"

About The Raiden Shogun; Electro Archon- "The Shogun- not a pleasant character, although she's been- oddly quiet and has been reported to have seemed a little different recently. I haven't met her, nor am I keen too, but I am curious as to what makes a god take away the ambitions of her people. But I'd prefer to stay out of her way, changed woman or not".

About the Visions- "Visions are incredible things. I find it amusing that gods of one nation pay so much attention to people of another, and give them a Vision. Me, for example. A citizen of Inazuma, with a pyro vision. To top it off, I dress like I have a hydro vision! Everyone knows of Visions and of those who hold them- unless your Baiyun who somehow didn't know what it was, or that he had one! That- was a strange conversation, although I was honoured to be the one to teach him!"

Something to share- "Ah, I actually have a wonderful idea. I know some caves in Watatsumi- we just gotta avoid the Hydro Hypostasis in one of em. They have the most gorgeous views! Let me show you! The plant life there is amazing, and at nighttime they're illuminated by the glowing flora in them!"

Interesting things- "Did you know that Inazuma is home to some of the largest intact skeletal remains in Teyvat! It's- probably a little creepy really but I find it fascinating! I took Baiyun to see the skeleton of Orobashi just the other day! And he wanted to paint it, heh, no surprises there. We camped overnight. He was that intent on finishing the painting".

More about Mitsue Katsumi; i- "About me? Oh, well, you already know most of it, right? There's not much to me other than my position as General. Really, I'm not all that interesting, perhaps you should ask Kokomi or Gorou instead".

More about Mitsue Katsumi: ii- "Being a General creates a lot of responsibility that you must carry, but amongst me, Gorou, Kokomi and the few other higher ups, we handle it pretty well- I handle it pretty well. I mean heh I'm fine really. I love my job and my position, I worked hard to get here after all".

More about Mitsue Katsumi: iii- "In my free time you can probably find me sparring with Kokomi, Gorou or the soldiers, or in one of the many caves around Watatsumi! They're so beautiful, sometimes I just wander and sit in them, thinking. It helps me clear my head, yaknow?"

More about Mitsue Katsumi: iv- "I haven't been alive very long, not in comparison to other beings in this world, but one day I hope to see beyond my own world, travel outside Watatsumi; at my own choice, and maybe even travel to Natlan, and see the nation of the god who gave me my Vision. It'll be funny for sure, I can trick some new people, meet others; travelling is a dream of mine. But not now, I'll know when it's time, but it's not quite time yet".

More about Mitsue Katsumi: v- "My dreams and ambitions? Well, ambitions I can answer; it has been to grow up to achieve great things, and to strive my hardest to get good at fighting. That's how I got my Vision I think, of my ambition for such things. Now though? I'm not sure. Which sounds sad, but it’s ok, I'm happy with things now, the war’s over, it’s peaceful, I can keep training, show off my talent to the other islands in the nation, that kinda stuff. Maybe I'll take up a new hobby, asl Baiyun to teach me to paint even?"

Katsumi's hobbies- "My hobbies hey? Heh, I have a few cliche ones. Weapons practice and such, which is standard for a Vision bearer I guess. I also love cave explanation. Is there a name for that? I've absolutely no idea nevermind. Errrr, travelling I suppose? No no that doesn't count. Hmm perhaps I need more hobbies... Oh! Cloud gazing! It’s like star gazing but uh- with clouds- yeah pretty self explanatory really, but the weather on Watatsumi is perfect for it! And it’s peaceful, really calming".

Katsumi's troubles- "I've got to go pick up a bunch of supplies from Inazuma city- I think Kokomi went a little overboard now we're not at war. I mean, I completely understand but what in the world am I meant to do with- 500 carrots! Kokomi-!"

Favourite food- "It’s gotta be Tri-flavoured skewers! They're so good, and I mean I don't cook a lot but these have got to be my absolute favourite thing to make! The difference in flavours is delicious and the easy way in which it's prepared makes it a great thing to whip up!"

Least favourite food- "Never thought I'd say it but now? Probably anything heavy with seafood. I love seafood! But during the Vision hunt decree and the war, our supplies got cut off pretty badly so we were left with really only fish as our source of meat. Again, I love fish but- after eating it for almost a year straight I can't do it anymore, so sashimi platters and salted fish are a no go, at for a good while".

Birthday- "Happy Birthday!!! Kokomi reminded me, and so I managed to get you something in time! I hope you like it! I put a lot of thought into it and I thought perhaps something ocean related would be fitting with your stay on Watatsumi. I also organised a meetup with everyone! C'mon, Kokomi and Gorou are waiting and I think Beidou said she'd be able to make it too!"

Feelings about ascension; intro- "Hey! I just realised I never showed you my claymore attacks! C'mon, I don't know why I'm remembering now, but let me show you!"

Feelings about ascension; building up- "Wow! I don't think I've ever felt this good- I didn't think I'd be able to improve so much! Lets spar to test this out!"

Feelings about ascension; climax "Incredible! I didn't think it was possible for me to get this good! I have so much potential for this new power- everything is as clear as day now!"

Feelings about ascension; conclusion- "On the battlefield, one can never stop improving, training, getting better. I've figured out that that will always be true, and that I can learn so much more by paying more attention to the small details. For now though, let's rest and take a walk, and perhaps then we can revisit this idea of improvement and evolution of skill".
