Ashliel

Ashliel is a messenger from the Heavens. Her court is of the Harpies. Many don't see her, but a few are gifted enough with Sight to see the holy. Her messages are meant for those who are on their way out. Ashliel gives them invitations to her court's heaven, which allows them to rest in peace.

There are twelve courts for various creatures: Cats Humanoids, Dogs Humanoids, Harpies, Humans, general animals, Fae, Dak's creatures of death, Dragons, and others not very well known. Ashliel was actually requested on her own deathbed to become a messenger for her court's heaven, but her previous lover asked if Ashliel could look over her own kind. Ashliel was gifted this under the promise that she would not step forth to her own kind ever again.

Saying goodbye to her family for good, Ashliel set off to help the Gods with their requests. She had come to find that many reasons there were lack of hands in certain courts was because many requested to stay in their own race's court. Ashliel found herself being one of the only Cats in the Harpy court. It was a tad lonely, but the Gods did allow her to see her previous lover every once in awhile.

Being a messenger was a difficult job for sure. There was a lot more paperwork involved than you would think. Sometimes it would just fall in your lap from nowhere, and had a deadline of that night. (Ashliel was sure the other harpies dropped the work on her when they didn't want to do it though. They didn't seem to want to make friends as much as she wanted to.)

But the young Cat persevered and gave out invitations for as long her newly acquired angel wings could carry her. And her lover told her every time they met how proud of her she was.

Saved Cloudette from Dak's Final Death [see Cloudette's page]. Suffered minor punishments for disobeying direct orders (more paperwork) and is now Cloudette's angelic teacher. Teaches Cloudette how to use purifying magic.

Personality: Perseverant / persistent / stubborn. Headstrong / hard worker / busy bee. Tends to overwork herself, even in the afterlife [workaholic]. Prideful in her work, but not very confident in herself. Relies on third parties to keep her from falling into despair.

Likes: Dawn, Clouds, Rainfall. White hot cocoa. Sleeping. Work.

Dislikes: Rude people, bullies, despair. Paperwork.
