Amberhaze is a complicated but encouraging molly. She has trust issues, but once you make it into her circle it’s nearly impossible to leave it. That being said, she’s very cautious with everyone and keeps most other cats at arm's length. She doesn't want to get too attached to anyone for fear of them leaving her entirely. She’s incredibly observant and logical, usually taking a very blunt approach when other cats ask her for advice, which doesn’t exactly help any general opinion of her.

Amber is closest with her daughter and mate Pikesplash, who is her rock and fortress in the craziness that is elmclan. She and Pike stick together like glue, raising their daughter Perch to the best of their ability (despite the fact that they somehow ended up with a magical prophecy kid). Her feelings on the matter are complicated but Amber mostly just wants to be there for her daughter as much as she can, even though she may not agree with the path that her daughter is following by following the footsteps of the ancients. She’s a good, supportive parent. Even though she may not understand all of the magical shenanigans that her daughter goes through.

Amberhaze was born to Rushcloud and Cranedance. Rushcloud took the majority of the parenting burden, with Cranedance not wanting much to do with the pairing. It wouldn’t be long before Cranedance had disappeared from Elmclan entirely, some suspect he may have been taken by a magical creature. Others believe he may have joined the ROTR. Regardless of where he chose to go, Amber did not have a good relationship with him. Rushcloud in turn ended up being harsher to Amberhaze than she should have been, blaming the young kit for her fractured relationship with her ex-mate and her inability to process these emotions made her excessively mean. Amber quickly learned to raise herself, although not without the help of the elder mother, who noticed these behaviors and took over Amber’s education quietly.

Amber lived a fairly peaceful existence, traveling through her apprentice years without much going on and soon meeting the love of her life: Pikesplash. Pikesplash was a loner that traveled across the mountains and earned her place within Elmclan soon after. The pair fell in love, and it wasn’t long before they had a young one of their own: Perchkit. It was clear from the getgo that Perchkit was different, but the pairing weren’t going to let their lack of parental experience dictate their daughter’s, so they do their best to be there for perch whenever she needs them. They refuse to force perch to have the same trauma and distance that they had with their parents. Despite this, they are not overly supportive and still do their best to put their feet down and scold Perch when they believe she’s in the wrong. They’re really just trying their best to do what they can when their daughter is born the magical ancestor of a god.

Throughout much of Perch’s trauma, Amberhaze and Pikesplash remain stalwart champions of their daughter, and are there to comfort her when they can. Shortly after Emberstride’s reign, Amberhaze caught a very bad bought of greencough, and although she survived, she was bedridden for quite some time and eventually confined to camp entirely. Pikesplash does her best to still be there for her, even as Amberhaze is slow to recover. The pair permanently make their nest in the elder’s den, with Pike being allowed to accompany Amber despite her current position as warrior. They live into the final era of peace, watching their daughter take on the world and eventually become official mates with Doestep. They couldn’t be prouder parents.
