Silver (Andruil) - DA AU

^PERSONALITY

Silver has more levels than a book has pages. To outsiders, first impression of him is usually outgoing, surprisingly kind and a bit of a show-off. He laughs and smiles a lot, which makes people around him comfortable. Silver is an extrovert, he enjoys company and he seems to be very open on talking about himself as well. He doesn't reveal who he actually is, but talks around the subject. He hates playing card games and riddles, he is too impulsive and excited to plan winning, so he almost always loses.

However seemingly kind and social, at the same time he is ruthless, vicious, and sees most normal people as objective numbers and chess pieces even though he rarely admits this aloud. He is extremely hedonistic, though not completely run out of morals; he stands by his own opinions. He's not the kind to kill innocents without reason or cause unnecessary pain to anyone. But to kill ten people to save a few of his own? He would. Has a thirst for power and control and he is well trained to lead. Compared to his evanuris associates he is impulsive, despite having lived so many lifetimes.

Silver is not often afraid or not even concerned about the state of the world, and might come off as ignorant and selfish for those seeking help. Being immortal has grown him into being a mighty free and easy, devil-may-care sort of person who tries to drink and smoke his whole existence away.

Silver doesn't show weakness often, but that may be more of a personality trait of his than something he has learnt to do. Though, the elf is nostalgic at times - he cries while entering abandoned elven gardens. Silver's decisions in his past resulted to the death of Ghilan'nain, his soulmate, and he still blames himself for this - the guilt is buried deep. He is afraid of immortality, and specifically it lasting forever. Staying as he is while everyone around him grows old and dies. This is part of the reason why he doesn't make deep friendships with many. He is depressed and struggles to cope with his gift of long life, resulting in him numbing his feelings on different substances (mostly alcohol and herbs) and overall hedonism like sex and violence.

TLDR: Outgoing, social, show-off - but also ruthless and vicious, impulsive. Sharp by habit. Extremely hedonistic. Selfish, ignorant, annoying dickhead. Surprisingly a good teacher.

^{LOVE & RELATIONSHIPS}

He has a lot of love in him but it usually manifests in the wrong ways (perhaps selfish). Silver avoids falling in love, and believes he has truly not loved after Ghilan'nain's passing (debatable). He makes mutuals easily and is generally well liked, but avoids trusting other people and so never deepens his relationships. Solas is currently the only one in the timeline who is actually close to him, but their relationship is a hard one, jumping from hate to love very easily. Both decades old grudges and past abuse keeps them on not getting any closer, the scars won't heal. Despite this they are very familiar with each other, having spent decades together, and they bring each other comfort in a world ripped from other magic of their time. Silver has always been unable to drop the mentor mentality completely even though Solas hasn't officially been an apprentice in ages. He still keeps on disciplining Solas, who keeps on reminding Silver that he isn't in charge - in any form.

Silver's relationships with the other evanuris' are as complicated, if not worse. They have all raged wars against each other, fought and loved through ages. Though they are mostly logical around each other and won't try to finish each other off immediately, they all keep safe distance just in case. Fuli (or, otherly known as Sylaise) is the closest evanuris to Silver - the short elf's army fought alongside Andruil's long ago many times until time separated them. Silver finds Fuli immature and annoying, but still better company than the other evanuris'. Elgar'nan is Silver's old mentor, they have a lot of history in every possible way. Silver had a rough, very abusive training that lasted way too long for an apprentice, and he is still careful around Elgar'nan. Dirthamen was a close friend of Ghilan'nain, and she still blames Silver for her death, swearing to never forgive. Falon'Din follows his twin's example for her, except that while Dirthamen never fights if not necessary, Falon'Din will seek purposefully a fight with Andruil every time.

Silver isn't happy about the possibility of the other evanuris returning, despite the thought of not being alone anymore comforts him.
He likes his position as the world's only "original" evanuris alive, and knows their return will bring only war.

^LOCATION

Right before the start of the Dragon Age: Inquisition (around 9:40 DA) Silver sets up his camp at one of the Skyhold towers, unaware of the Inquisition who is soon to march in. He then voluntarily moves out of the way of the Inquisition and sets his stuff in the storage room next to the Forgotten Library, as no one seems to be using it. His room is very humble and easy to move around, it has a bed with a movable bedroll and a few furs on top. Neatly organized booze bottles in the shelves, some empty. On the floor there is a chest that has weird trinkets, bottles, varying clothes, healing objects (mostly a million rolls of bandages) and some gold items. Over the room on the ceiling, from wall to wall, goes several drying racks and lines filled with drying herbs. The room smells like pipe smoke and herbs. He doesn't spend much time there, mostly just sleeps, smokes and heals himself. 

Silver wakes up early in the mornings and heads out to woods for a hunt, if he hasn't been drinking. After that he will be found somewhere in the Skyhold main library or the yard, soaking in the Inquisition.
At evenings he usually either goes to bed early, or more than often heads to the Herald's Rest to drink.
