Description

Beelzebub is the king of gluttony. He is most likely the most feared and hated creature in all of Sheol.  He is known for his flesh golems, golems made from his own flesh, which are planted in every demon's stomach when they are born. Beelzebub is a sickly demon. No matter what how much he eats he is constantly starving. Even with as much food he is able to consume as a king, he still claims to be starving. Beelzebub is one of the oldest demons alive. The king uses his humanoid golems to do everything. His real body has been in a secret location since he became king, never exposing it to any harm. No one, except Mephistopheles and the nanny, knows what Beelzebub's real body looks like. Supposedly the golems are made in his splitting image, but no one can really be sure of that.

The golems have greyish dark brown skin, dotted with white freckles. With the exception of one golem, they all have shoulder length, greasy and messy, white hair. The upper part of his face is spotted with eyes, much like a fly's ommatidia. Their pupils are white and their scleras are black, showing the traits of an elder demon(a demon who's been alive for over 100 years). Their mouths are very wide and full of sharp, thin teeth, poking out even when their mouths are closed. The golems also have long insect wings, though it seems doubtful the real king has wings. The golems are all tall, lanky and extremely underweight. Some of the golems have bulgy stomachs, possibly filled with smaller flesh golems.

Flesh golems and tax system

Flesh golems are golems made from king Beelzebub's flesh. There are two types of flesh golems. The small, fleshy golems, which either serve as parasites, living and taking taxes from demons' stomachs, or they fly around and spy for the king. 3VX1wyi.pngThe second type of golems are the larger, humanoid flesh golems, which are literally clones of the king himself. As all the golems are made from Beelzebub's flesh, they all share his consciousness. Their mouths are actually small portals connected to the real king. The golems allow Beelzebub to consume more food than he could ever do on his own. Technically, Beelzebub is always "eating".

Beelzebub implemented the tax system that requires all demons to have one of of his flesh golems living in the stomachs, feeding on everything they eat. In return the golems track the demons and informs their kingdoms of any crimes, their whereabouts and possibly deaths.  The amount of food he taxes from the individual demon depends on which demon species they are. Beelzebub has different agreements with each king and their kingdom, and said agreements determine how high the kingdoms' taxes will be. Beelzebub is known to be a cruel king to the demons in his kingdom. All gluttony demons have to pay extra taxes to the starving king. The flesh golems in the gluttony demons' stomachs are designed to be much larger. They consume almost all of the food the demons eat. Should a gluttony demon decide to become a knight, their taxes will be halved.

Personality

Beelzebub is known by all to be void of any empathy. He rules his kingdom without showing any consideration. He's selfish, only using his powers as a king for himself. He does however have some honor. He always repays any favors, regardless of what they may ask for in return. He is very hysterical. He snaps over the most trivial things. During a normal day he will have several meltdowns, often killing or eating his own knights in the process. He's very unstable, one moments he may act sweet and playful like a normal child. The next moment he could go on a killing spree for no apparent reason. Beelzebub doesn't seem to form any meaningful relationship to those around him. The only exception being Mephistopheles, whom he's known since he was born. Though he seems to act nicer around some people, he won't hesitate to gobble them up on a whim. An example of this being some of his blood knights. He also seems to love playing around with some of his preys before eating them alive. If he grows bored of something or someone he won't hesitate to throw them away. He's terrible at reading other people's emotion. He may not even be aware other people actually do have emotions.
