THEME this is home

As the calm under pressure Combat Experient of the Advisory counsel, Starling has one goal in mind: defeat the enemy with the least amount of damage caused to our side. And he does this, quite well in fact. Other felines find him intimidating as he tends to have an emotionless exterior. They should fear him. That ice-cold exterior goes all the way through to the inner most caverns.

PERSONALITY

Clear-eyed Starling is the epitome of an ice-cool cat. He has a knack for staying calm in the most chaotic of situations, and is genius when it comes to strategies. He doesn't always get along with others, and tends to make snide remarks at their expense.

Armor Note

His armor chest/back plate is enhanced with magical abilities and sharp iron spikes protrude where ever it detects an enemy. However, it doesn't poke anyone who means him no harm. An added feature is the shifting colors. Gold and silver hues and metals weave in and out of each other as they dance to a song of duality on the armor, bringing it an extra sense of elegant beauty.

Interaction with Hecate

"The bandits keep coming back."

At the new voice, I raised my blue-ginger head, eye and ear perked with interest. A sleek ebony ghost-tabbied feline slinked through the part in the curtain that divided the light from the dark of the hut. Their torso matched the curve of the wall across from me. My neck muscles kept their position as their tufted tail followed their long body. Starry eyes captivated by flowy tail, following its path.

"Ah, Starling, I'm so glad you could join us," spoke Ravaging Serpent, their black, white, and lime head curtly nodded as the new cat sat down across from me, neatly placing their tufted tail over their white paws.

My mighty head swung to face them, my eyes never moving from their position. I raised an eyebrow in curiosity, and their sleek black muzzle opened to respond.

"I'm Clear-eyed Starling, Rav's Combat Experient on the Advisory Counsel," he glanced at the Monarch with those blank blue eyes, framed by endless pitch-black scleras.

I nodded and narrowed my eyes in resignation. "Mystifying Hecate. Daughter of the deity Morganus, god of shadows, the luminescent moon, and all forms of prophecy."

My galactic eyes gazed into theirs and detected the slightest bit of awe as they widened, then shot back to the normal, ice-cool exterior.

"Impressive," was all they said. Curt.

Ravaging Serpent cleared their throat and directed the conversation back to the current predicament. My keen eyes blinked, tail tip flicked, and I turned most of my attention to the matter at hand. We had a war to win, after all.

"Alright, so..." And the planning began.

Past with Rav

Ravaging Serpent was a royal whose father ruled over a kingdom. Clear-eyed Starling was Rav's combat instructor. The charcoal-coated feline rose through the ranks at an early age and landed the job of teaching the young royal. But the student must prove himself to the teacher, first.

Rav and Star were about the same age, so the former thought it best to be more relaxed, and not worry about treating the teacher like an adult cat, as they were basically friend-age. That was a mistake. Since kithood, Starling was scarred by magical cats, who took away his father, and marred his village. Although they were a small group of rogues, it felt like evil cats were everywhere; he's slow to trust enchantment-inclined felines as a result. Rav might not have been too magical, but Starling didn't let that stop his hate from boiling up. The royals were the exact cats who should've taken care of those rogues, but instead they dealt with other matters. Rav had a say in those matters, and clearly they didn't care all that much. This led to many many laps around the castle being run by Rav, and lots of strenuous training exercises, with little instruction. Miraculously, the green and black cat caught on, excelling beyond the other knights-in-training, and earning the slow respect of Starling. Perhaps not all cats were bad.

Ravaging Serpent Comrades / Boss

Long-term friends since they were young, these two enjoy fighting alongside each other and strategizing plans. Starling actually trained Rav in combat, so they owe a lot of their success to him.

Mystifying Hecate Acquaintences / Coworkers Begrudgingly

Although Starling tends to think lowly of cats with magical powers, he must admit he's quite impressed with Hecate. Not only does she use her magic for good, but she's also quite humble about it. This is a rare occurence, and Star has only ever respected a cat like this with Ravaging Serpent. Do note that he'd never let Hecate know this.

Warped Howl They share a den. And are forced to work together.

These two cats share a den and have to work together. They more or less despise each other, but have an underlying mutual respect for the other's skillset and necessity to the cause. Ravaging Serpent, however, must deal with the two butting heads all of the time.
