Equinox

Story

Just imagine, it's late september, you're celebrating Mabon with friends, autumn is here! You're all taking pictures together; in front of the autumn leaves, drinking apple cider, sitting around the bonfire. As you're taking a video of the fire your phone starts to get warm, well duh you're right in front of the fire. Only it's rapidly getting more and more hot, one or two white streaks quickly flash on the screen, it's getting more and more intense for every second you keep going. It's fine, just one more second then you'll stop. The glitches on your screen are getting worse and worse. Your phone sparks and the screen goes black, you instinctively drop it on the ground and look at your hand. It left a burn. Welp, that was weird, probably shouldn't have held it so close to the fire I guess.... A while later and the fire is starting to die out, you pick up your phone again to check the damage. It's... fine? Oh well, your friends all want to see the picture you got together. You notice 3 things about these pictures:
1. The images are all corrupt, well that's expected.
2. It's hard to tell but, everyones eyes seem to be blacked out with some strange black liquid running down their cheeks. Might just be because they're all glitched out and weird though.
3. Who is that extra person in the group photo?
Wait a minute, that "person-looking" shadow is in the background of all your photos. Wait do you guys hear that?

Named after the solar Equinox that occurs every september, he's always been there as long as photography has. Originally only hanging around autumn harvest festivals, he eventually made his way into the city as camera phones became more popular. And with that he's also found his love for nightlife and partying. Though you can't make an old cryptid change, so next time your phone camera starts to misbehave, look behind you.
