Tokki (Moon Rabbit)

Name: Tokki 

Species: Moon Rabbit 

Gender and Pronouns: Cis female (She/her) 

Age, physical and actual if they are a spirit: A young spirit, possibly not younger than 200. Estimated mental age, 16-ish.

 Appearance: Small white rabbit sporting traditional clothing, tuft of fur tied back. Usually always carrying a green, moon lantern and potions. Face and body having red moon marks. 

Somewhere in the 4'10 - 5'2 height ranges. 

Origin and Backstory:

The Moon Rabbit myth became a thing in The Han Dynasty, but a spirit representing it wasn't created until after the Grim Reaper became a spirit. 

Yětù, was an Apothecary on the Moon ship. Aiding others with his gift and knowledge on healing items, for a hundred years after everything in the Golden age happened. The rabbit stuck by Manny's side as his old position, having a large hammer with him to pound medicine for the people and spirits on Earth. Becoming a myth for the humans had given him a pride in his work, not too long later. 

He'd be given a child, another rabbit much like him. His kind was a mere subspecies of the Pooka, smaller in frame and not as strong. And so was his offspring. Whom, after the myths, he'd name "Tokki." 

Tokki, having grown up on the Moon, had limited space to explore as well as limited people to interact with. Yet, that didn't deter the rabbit from learning as much as she can, often seen mimicking her father in his work and wanting to follow in his footsteps as an Apothecary. That and traveling to earth to see the world. 

She'd grow sheltered and loved by her father, however this would make her be more dependent on him than expected. Always panicking and calling for him when she didn't see him. 

Whenever Yětù would go to Earth to supply and gift medicines Tokki would always ask to go, she was still young and inexperienced so her father would refuse. Because of this, the rabbit would borrow her father's books to try and learn to make medicines like him. Which would result in her becoming more busy as she grows up, having a gift at making candies and sweets which her father would also gift to others on Earth. And to also proudly show off. 

When Tokki reached a certain age, her father would start taking her with him on Earth. Their first visit to China stuck with her as she'd also started making clothes to mimic theirs, their culture and myths being viewed fondly by the young rabbit. 

Despite their frequent visits every few months, which Tokki looked forward to all the time, the Moon rabbits barely saw any other spirits which Tokki would frown on as she was pretty excited to meet any spirits her age. Alas, it wasn't always the case. They'd often meet older spirits though, her father's friends that she'd also grow accustomed to. 

Years would go by and Tokki would grow more and more skilled in hers and her father's craft, almost coming close to his level! But Yětù would always say she was now better than him, she would refuse this in fear of not becoming as good as him though. 

But, her most awaited years would come sooner than later when she was finally allowed to go to Earth on her own. Getting to explore to her heart's content and was free to find other spirits to befriend. 

Personality:

Tokki was raised to be proper by her father, which made the little rabbit be uptight and strive for perfection all the time. Despite this, she gets distracted easily. Seeming to stare off in the distance and daydream, usually of Earth and what happens there. A naturally curious spirit.  

She's a young spirit who has spent all her years on the Moon, having no social interaction with anyone else has resulted in her seeking friendships with everyone she deems alright to her. Tokki enjoys learning as well, a bright rabbit always open to new experiences to wrote about. 

Power:

Her creativity counts as an ability in her head, the rabbit is very quick to make crafts and foods. That and her knowledge in the medical field makes her a pretty useful asset to anyone, Tokki had even made a quick healing candy that removes one's fatal injuries. As well as potions. 

Tokki's also gifted in agility, the gravity on the Moon had made her visits to earth partially difficult but she'd gotten used to it with learning about the subject. Her hops became higher and her senses got better with each visit to earth. 

Shape shifting to an extent, turning into a small rabbit to continue her tasks faster. As well as turning human on some occasions, though she'd prefer her normal form over everything. 

Additional info: 

- She's more based on the Chinese version of the myth, but I named her Tokki which is the Korean word for "Rabbit"! 

- The marks on her face are similar to japanese kitsune myths, only moon related. 

- When her father dies, she'd take over and become the new Moon Rabbit. 

- I can see her becoming friends with the Guardians, but she'd be more enamored with Aster. 

- Originally, in her early drafts, she was actually Bunnymund's apprentice! But she only specializes in Candies and herbs.
