MONTY

"You look quite divine tonight

Monty originates from an old 90s puppetry show called Smile Aisle. He is a side character of an assortment of other colorful puppets and his main theme is love, relationships of any kind, and characterized with a lovestruck personality with his head in the clouds. His originating cartoon show never had an original release of itself, being just enough successful to be aired for a reasonably long time, but not getting its own sold tapes. So to prevent this old cartoon from turning into lost media, some people have taken to recording episodes themselves and storing them on tapes. Which makes one of those incredibly rare and valuable. A man named Arlo has made it a passion of himself to collect and resell old antiques, and coming across an old tape at a yard sale for dirt cheap felt like a goldmine.
He buys it, unaware that said tape is cursed.

Monty, the previously mentioned side character becomes sentient, and finds out a way to escape his own show by sheer accident. Finding himself in Arlo's apartment. Body changed from a small puppet into a more humanoid frame, with blood, bones, and all else. They now have  to figure out a way to coexist because Monty is unable to return back into his show.
