Tends to get really sleepy during races. 6/10 wins them due to the combination of Kaoru's minor tweaks to her skateboard and her body being on autopilot (think like sleepwalking). The other times she crashes and gets hurt.

Kiku is the result of an affair that her father regretted, so he never had a presence in her life. Kaoru found out about her when he was 14. He found a letter addressed to his father that was crumpled up. He spied on Kiku and her mother in a park. He would often play with her. Her mother didn't mind, happy that an older child was watching out for her. He didn't explain who he was until three years later. Kiku's mother didn't mind. Kaoru taught Kiku to skateboard when she showed interest. Kiku came into her brother's care after her mother died from an illness. Kaoru's parents know about Kiku but refuse to associate with her.

Kiku knew Reki before Langa's transfer due to always going to the shop he worked at and they formed a friendship. She met Langa through Reki.

She's in robotics club and takes college prep courses at her high school.

Koaru only allows Kiku to join races if she doesn't have an exam the next day
