Moira Cassidy has had an eventful 33 years of life.
She has seen abuse. It tore its way through her childhood and stole what was left of her innocent world from her. She will never forget the faces of those who inflicted it.
She has seen death. While it made her family wealthy, it was at the cost of two beautiful lives. It was needless tragedy; a type of tragedy that will repeat itself many times in her life.
All in all, she has seen humanity at both its best and its worst. It's changed her over time, and she can't decide if it's for worse or better. All she knows is that she now writes about her experiences while hiding behind thin veils she calls characters. She now drinks homemade wines because wine is easier to make than progress in therapy.
She is a woman disillusioned with life and its inhabitants, only really sticking around out of obligation to her younger sister, out of boredom, and a fear of the unknown. Though to die would be a great adventure, she just doesn't see herself ever going on it.
Currently, she is taking care of her bereaved younger sister, Jeanne, after the loss of Jeanne's husband and child.
Moira is a brooding, almost dark woman. She often lets her ennui dictate her actions, but she can be extremely passionate in a manner of ways when she wants to be. She has Complex PTSD, but remains undiagnosed because she refuses to go to therapy. She doesn't trust the medical system in any way anymore after seeing what it did to her sister and her now-deceased nephew.
Other than writing and drinking, Moira partakes in fencing, reading, learning new things (she's taken to theoretical physics these days; says she wants to dip her toes into science fiction), and... Well, that's about it, she supposes. She also enjoys long talks she's been having with Jeanne at night. And she hosts lavish parties at her manor, but it's all really to fill a void and play a role. Expectations, expectations.
