Laurence is a free spirited guy with a strong belief that people should make choices for themselves. Unlike Ernest though he is not an innocent soul and was the first and only person tethered to the minute hand. He had a massive hatred for the hour hands first person so when he finally saw the hour hand after years he was in a bit of a blind rage when he met Ernest. Mistaking him for the original hour hand, after this though he teaches Ernest some things about Orion’s Clock as well as learn a lot from Ernest when their hands pass one another.
He comes to really care for and support Ernest, and eventually even Nue! Laurence feels like he can finally put his pat behind him if they’re by his side.
