Famously ferocious beasts, Leophio are commonly crowned "the king of serpents" by Wysterians. With massive head and tail crests, they certainly look the royal part. Leophio are swift and efficient hunters, easily overpowering most other beasts. Stalking the desert, they feast on any prey available in the arid wasteland, and caravans of unassuming travelers are their favorite meal of all. Scholars have long debated what purpose their feathered crests, which are shared between both sexes, serve - and the leading theory is they play an important part in a defensive display. It's unknown, however, what kind of beast a Leophio would fear.
