Cryptyric lurks within the forest and mountain range outside of the portside town known as, Whsiperian. The town has stood for longer then Tyr has been claiming its home there. One day about three thousand years ago, people slowly started to randomly vanish in the night...
People who go missing from Whisperian are usually never found. There is never usually evidence of them to be found bsides an empty home and missing attendance. It's beleived those who go missing, were chosen for reasons. As to what the reason may be? The townsfolk can only assume...
People have claimed to hear a song faintly play from the treeline, some claimed they heard it from within the town itself. It resembles a song that most forgot to the winds of time, but from the articles that withstood time... it's best if the towns people do not dwell on it.
One of the abilities Tyr is claimed to possess, is that of inciting a sense of paranoia of feeling like you're constantly being watched. It is beleived those who feel this way are the next to go or have given reason for the creature to stalk them. Those who were not taken in the night have expressed that the feeling of being wathced never truly goes away... that even years later they would suddenly get this intense feeling of being watched. As if the creature was checking in on them, or even rethinking its choice of not choosing them.
For those who Tyr does not devour, they end up being taken back to where the creature claims its home. It lulls the person into an illusion of a perfect cabin home. It is unknown what happens past this as those it claims never come back the same, or if at all...
