Jeanne Cassidy was always the golden child. From her cute appearance, to her calm disposition, and to her kind nature, she was perfect in the eyes of her parents.
This lead to her being babied by those around her for a very, very long time, especially by her older sister, Moira. Looking back on it, she remembers Moira always being there for her, shielding her from the cruelty of the world.
(This has lead Moira to plenty of needless tragedy, but Moira doesn't blame Jeanne for it.)
Even while dealing with the death of her grandparents as a child, and the deaths of her parents in her early 20's, she was still shielded from the gorey details by ever-responsible Moira. The first time she wasn't protected from the cruelty of tragedy was when Jeanne's husband, Liam Kelly, was murdered. Jeanne, who was 5 months pregnant with their first child at the time, was devastated when she received the news that his mangled body was found in a nearby riverbank.
She only lasted another month before the stress of organizing a funeral, coping with Liam's death, and handling his final expenses caused her to go into premature labor.
The baby boy didn't survive.
She didn't even get to see him.
Sent down into a spiraling depression, Jeanne lost everything.
She is currently being taken care of by her Moira after Liam and their infant son's deaths. She was bedridden from her depression for a while, but, recently, she's been coming out of her room more. She likes spending time in the library the most.
Jeanne is a caring, but melancholy woman. She can be overly trusting at times due to her sheltered nature, and she often has to be steered back on the right track by Moira. She used to be a bit of a chatterbox when she was younger, but she's quieter now. Sometimes, even Moira forgets she's in the house with how quiet she is.
When she has the motivation, she enjoys playing violin, playing cards and chess with Moira, and reading. She's currently drawn to the classics, her favourite being the works of Jane Austen.
When her sister is throwing Gatsby-esque parties at the manor, Jeanne stays in her bedroom with a stack of books.
